There is provided mechanisms for operating a DPD for an access node. A method comprises receiving a plurality of input signals, each from a respective frequency band, wherein each signal is of memory order M. The method comprises, for each frequency band l=1, . . . , B of the frequency bands, generating a plurality of pre-distorted signals for the frequency band/based on the plurality of input signals coming from all the B frequency bands and using LUTs, according to which there is one LUT structure with LUT-based transforms per each combination of frequency band l=1, . . . , B and memory order m=0, . . . , M, wherein each of the LUT structures comprises combinations of LUTs of at most dimension B−q, where 1≤q≤B. The method comprises, for each frequency band l=1, . . . , B of the frequency bands, combining the plurality of pre-distorted signals for the frequency band to provide a combined pre-distorted signal for the frequency band.

Multiband digital pre-distorter with reduced dimension requirements

Method and device(s) for supporting performance of machine learning based CFR and DPD on multiple digital input signals relating to different frequency bands, respectively, in order to signal condition said signals before power amplification and subsequent transmission in said frequency bands by a wireless communication network. The device(s) perform feature construction that takes said multiple digital input signals as input and provides constructed feature signals according to predefined constructed feature types as output. There is provided mechanisms for enabling linearization of a non-linear electronic device. A method is performed by a linearizer device. The method comprises receiving an input signal destined to be input to the non-linear electronic device. Input-output characteristics of the non-linear electronic device is represented by a model. The model is defined by a mathematical expression, and wherein input-output characteristics of the linearizer device is given by the linearization function. The linearization function is determined by applying a function recursion to the mathematical expression of the model. The method comprises obtaining an output signal by subjecting the input signal to the linearization function. The method comprises providing the output signal, instead of the input signal, as input to the non-linear electronic device, thereby enabling linearization of the non-linear electronic device.

Recursive linearization of a non-linear model for an electronic device

Method and device(s) for performing digital predistortion, 'DPD', on multiple digital input signals to be transmitted in different frequency bands, respectively, of a wireless communication network. The frequency bands being associated with linearization bandwidths, respectively, for application of the DPD. Said DPD is performed in two parts: A first DPD part with a first DPD performed for each of said input signals over the signal's full linearization bandwidth using a first set of non-linear terms and basis functions. A second DPD part where another, second DPD is performed for each of said input signals over the signal's linearization bandwidth except where the linearization bandwidth covers the signal's frequency band using another, second set of non-linear terms and basis functions. Predistorted multiple digital output signals are provided based on both of said performed DPDs.

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a wireless device () for managing communication in a wireless communication network. The wireless device receives reference signals from one or more radio network nodes. The wireless device () estimates to what extent the received reference signals are received spatially diversified based on a radio network node indication indicating from which radio network node the reference signal was sent, and/or on a beam indication indicating in what direction the reference signal was sent toward the wireless device. The wireless device () then generates a measurement report by adding selected reference signals into the measurement report, which reference signals are selected for simultaneous multiple transmissions of data to the wireless device () taking into account the estimated extent that the received reference signals are received spatially diversified. Managing communication in a wireless communication network

Systems and/or methods of receiving communications at a receiving node that communicates with a transmitting node over a first communication channel and a second communication channel are disclosed. The method includes receiving, at the receiving node, a request-to-send message from the transmitting node over the first communication channel, the request-to-send message indicating that the transmitting node has data to be transmitted to the receiving node over the second communication channel, determining at the receiving node whether the second communication channel is available for reception of the data, in response to determining that the second communication channel is available for reception of the data, reserving the second communication channel for use by the transmitting node, and receiving the data from the transmitting node over the second communication channel.

A method performed by a wireless communication device for reporting signal quality measurements. The wireless communication device operates in a wireless communications network and comprises a first wireless network configured with single Demodulation Reference Signals (DMRS) and a second wireless network configured with dual DMRS. The wireless communication device receives a set of DMRS from the first wireless network and a set of dual DMRS from the second wireless network. The wireless communication device selects any one or more out of a first activity and a second activity based on the speed of the wireless communication device. The first activity comprises performing first signal quality measurements of the set of single DMRS and reporting at least some of the first signal quality measurements to the wireless communications network, and the second activity comprises performing a second signal quality measurement of the set of dual DMRS and reporting at least some of the second signal quality measurements to the wireless communications network.

According to certain embodiments, a method by a radio node () operating in multiple modes for power detection includes operating in a first mode. While operating in the first mode power levels of transmissions on a channel are compared to a first threshold to determine whether the channel is free. While operating the radio node () in the first mode, power levels within a specified range are detected during a first time period. In response to detecting the power levels within the specified range during the first time period, the radio node () is switched to a second mode that is a duty-cycle mode. While operating the radio node () in the second mode, the power levels of the transmissions on the channel are compared to a second threshold during a first portion of a duty cycle and to a third threshold during a second portion of the duty cycle to determine whether the channel is free. The third threshold is different from the second threshold. In response to determining that the channel is free, transmission is initiated on the channel.

System and method for energy detection with adaptive-threshold duty cycling for unlicensed band operations

A technique for performing a clear channel assessment (CCA) in an unlicensed radio frequency (RF) spectrum is described. The CCA is performed for transmitting data () according to a first radio access technology (RAT) in coexistence with a second RAT. As to a method aspect of the technique, signals () are received in the unlicensed RF spectrum. The received signals () are processed according to an operating state. The processing in a first operating state () causes a first delay that is greater than a second delay caused by the processing in a second operating state (). The operating state depends on the presence of data () to be transmitted according to the first RAT in the unlicensed RF spectrum. The CCA is performed based on the processed signals.

Systems and methods of performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) radio protocol in a communication system are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method () by a radio component () of a wireless device () may include receiving (), by the radio component, from a baseband component () of the wireless device, transmit data during a transmit-time interval associated with a synchronous wireless communication system. Further, the method may include, detecting (), by the radio component, that a medium associated with an asynchronous communication system is available.
