Techniques for implementing and/or operating a test head that includes an end cap assembly; a bore plug assembly including a plug fastener mechanism; an inflation fluid port and an annulus fluid port that open through the end cap assembly; and an internal inflation fluid conduit that connects the inflation fluid port to the plug fastener mechanism. The end cap assembly includes a cap end plate that covers an open end of a pipe segment, a cap sleeve to be disposed around the pipe segment, and a cap fastener mechanism that runs along an inner surface of the cap sleeve and that expands inward such that the cap fastener mechanism engages an outer surface of the pipe segment. The plug fastener mechanism is to be disposed within a pipe bore of the pipe segment and expands outward such that the plug fastener mechanism engages an inner surface of the pipe segment.

Reusable pipe integrity test head systems and methods

Techniques implementing and/or operating a system includes a pipe segment and a test head assembly secured to the pipe segment. The pipe segment includes tubing that defines a pipe bore through the pipe segment and a fluid conduit in a tubing annulus of the pipe segment. The test head assembly includes barrier material poly welded to the tubing of the pipe segment to facilitate sealing the fluid conduit defined in the tubing annulus from environmental conditions external to the tubing of the pipe segment and a fluid port fluidly connected to the fluid conduit defined within the tubing annulus to enable integrity of the tubing to be tested at least in part by flowing a test fluid into the fluid conduit defined in the tubing annulus via the fluid port, extracting fluid from the fluid conduit defined in the tubing annulus via the fluid port, or both.

Poly welded annulus test head systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a pipe deployment system including pipe deployment equipment, in which a pipe drum having spooled thereon a pipe segment is to be loaded on the pipe deployment equipment, and a pulling device to be secured to an unspooled section of the pipe segment to enable pulling force to be exerted thereon. The pulling device includes a first device leg, a second device leg parallel to the first device leg, and a device base extending between and secured the first device leg and the second device leg such that the device base is perpendicular to the first device leg and the second device leg and the device base is raised relative to a bottom surface of the first device leg and a bottom surface of the second device leg, in which the unspooled section of the pipe segment is to be disposed on the device base.

Mid-pipe pulling device systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe drum, which has a drum shaft and a drum body that enables a pipe segment to be spooled on the pipe drum, and pipe deployment equipment. The pipe deployment equipment includes a brake disc, which has a shaft socket that is keyed to matingly interlock with the drum shaft to facilitate tying rotation of the pipe drum with rotation of the brake disc, and a spooling assembly that includes a motor shaft, in which the spooling assembly ties rotation of the motor shaft with the rotation of the brake disc to enable the pipe deployment equipment to actively rotate the brake disc in a first direction to facilitate spooling the pipe segment off of the pipe drum, to actively rotate the brake disc in a second direction to facilitate spooling the pipe segment onto the pipe drum, or both.

Pipe spooling deployment equipment systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system, which includes a pipe segment and a test head assembly. The test head includes an end container, in which an end of tubing of the pipe segment is disposed within the end container, an annulus seal implemented at least in part by solidifying fluid hardening material that is flowed into the end container to facilitate securing the test head assembly to the pipe segment and sealing an opening end of a tubing annulus of the pipe segment within the test head assembly, and a fluid port fluidly connected to a fluid conduit defined within the tubing annulus of the pipe segment to enable integrity of the tubing to be tested at least in part by flowing a test fluid into the fluid conduit defined in the tubing annulus, extracting fluid from the fluid conduit defined in the tubing annulus, or both.
