Disclosed are various embodiments for creating personalized insoles designed to provide physical comfort to the individual wearing shoes containing the personalized insoles. A three-dimensional (3D) foot scan is performed on the individual's feet to better understand the contours and geometry of each foot of the individual. In addition, a 3D insole scan of the current insole of the shoe is performed to determine an accurate outline of the insole as well as to identify any wear patterns and compression points within the insole. The 3D foot scan combined with the 3D insole scan is used to generate the personalized insole that is accurately sized to fit into the corresponding shoe. The personalized insole is designed to be inserted into the shoe in order to provide a supportive fit that is personalized for both the individual and shoe in order to minimize foot pain and/or discomfort for the individual.

Disclosed are various embodiments for creating personalized insoles designed to provide physical comfort to the individual wearing shoes containing the personalized insoles. Three-dimensional (3D) foot scans are performed on the individual's feet to better understand the contours and geometry of each foot of the individual. The foot scans can be of each foot of the individual in varying positions (e.g., resting position with toes engaged with scanner top, toes-raised position with toes lifted from scanner top, metatarsal doming position, neutral calcaneal stance position, etc.). The 3D foot scans are used to generate personalized insole data that can be transmitted to a manufacturing device for manufacturing a personalized insole that is accurately designed to conform with the individual's foot and provide support in aligned load bearing positions.

Devices and techniques are generally described for three dimensional room modeling. In various examples, a three-dimensional (3D) room model comprising at least a first wall and a floor may be received. A first sphere sized and shaped such that the 3D room model fits within the first sphere may be determined and a virtual camera may be positioned on the first sphere at a first position. A first command may be received to move the virtual camera in a first direction. The virtual camera may be translated in the first direction along a surface of the first sphere to a second position. A view of the interior of the 3D room model may be displayed from a second viewpoint of the virtual camera at the second position.

Devices and techniques are generally described for three dimensional room modeling. In various examples, 3D mesh data representing a room may be received. Plane data comprising a plurality of planes may be received. Each plane of the plurality of planes may represent a planar surface detected in the room. In some cases, a first plurality of wall candidates for a 3D model of the room may be determined based at least in part on the plane data. A second plurality of wall candidates for the 3D model of the room may be determined by modifying the first plurality of wall candidates based on a comparison of the first plurality of wall candidates to the 3D mesh data. The 3D model of the room may be generated based at least in part on the second plurality of wall candidates.
