A system and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. In another embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to associate a time domain allocation with a RNTI identifying a user equipment, and provide an indication of the time domain allocation in downlink control information to allow the user equipment to employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated therewith.

Embodiments of the invention include methods, systems, and computer programs to determine synchronization signal (SS) block mapping pattern in a wireless network. In one embodiment, a method is implemented in a terminal device for synchronization signal block (SSB) search in a wireless network, the method includes receiving, by the terminal device from a network device, a message containing synchronization signal block (SSB) information indicating a synchronization signal (SS) block subcarrier spacing (SCS) option, where the SS block SCS option maps to a plurality of SS block pattern candidates. The method continues with obtaining SSB candidate locations, using a SS block pattern determination from the plurality of SS block pattern candidates for the terminal device determined.

Method and system for determination of synchronization signal (SS) block mapping pattern in a wireless network

A method may be provided to operate a wireless terminal in communication with a network node. The method may include receiving a Physical Downlink Control Channel, PDCCH, order from the network node. The PDCCH order may include an identification for a Random Access CHannel RACH occasion to be used for a RACH message 1 preamble transmission. Moreover, the identification may include a first index that indicates a set of RACH occasions and a second index that indicates the RACH occasion associated with the set. The method may also include transmitting a Message 1 preamble to the network node using the RACH occasion responsive to the PDCCH order.

The embodiments herein relate to timing advance offset for uplink/downlink switching in New Radio (NR). In one embodiment, there proposes a method in a wireless communication device, comprising: determining a timing advance (TA) offset for uplink/downlink switching, wherein the TA offset is at least based on the time offset requirement for uplink/downlink switching in different scenarios used in communication between the wireless communication device and a network node; applying the determined TA offset in the uplink communication from the wireless communication device to the network node. With embodiments herein, uplink/downlink switching time for NR is defined.

The disclosure relates to a method performed by a wireless device, for receiving system information from a network node of a wireless communication system. The system information is received in a synchronization signal (SS) block of an SS burst set comprising at least one SS block. The system information is multiplexed with information providing a time index indicating which SS block of the SS burst set that is being received. The method comprises receiving the information providing the time index, and receiving the system information, which comprises descrambling the system information using a scrambling sequence generated based on the information providing the time index. The method also comprises determining an accuracy of the information providing the time index, based on an error-detection code related to the received system information. NR broadcast channel transmission

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in idle mode, for determining common search space (CSS) for NB-IoT paging is disclosed. The method comprises determining a set of periodic subframes as a Paging Occasion (PO) subframe pattern. The method further comprises monitoring a starting subframe of paging CSS for a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI). The starting subframe of paging CSS is determined as follows: a first subframe (SF) defined by the Paging Occasion subframe pattern, is used when SFis determined to be a valid downlink subframe. A next valid downlink subframe after SFis used when SFis determined to be an invalid downlink subframe.
