Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for modifying queries and rules for profile fetching and risk calculation are provided herein. A method includes comparing at least one aspect of a query submitted to access a data store to rule sets associated with the data store to determine a potential access path within the data store for responding to the query, comparing information pertaining to an entity identified via the query to risk information pertaining to entities to determine a level of risk associated with the entity identified via the query, generating a modified version of the query based on information derived from the potential access path within the data store for responding to the query, and calculating a risk score associated with the modified version of the query based on the aspect of the query and the level of risk associated with the entity identified via the query.

Modifying queries and rules for profile fetching and risk calculation

Authentication using one-time passcode and predefined swipe pattern

A technique manages access to a limited number of computerized sessions. The technique involves receiving, from a waiting user, a session request for a computerized session, and queuing the session request in a wait queue in response to all of the limited number of computerized sessions being currently assigned to other users. The technique further involves, while the session request is queued in the wait queue, providing permission to the waiting user to un-assign a computerized session which is currently assigned to another user. With such a technique, the user has the option of simply waiting until a computerized session has been relinquished (i.e., if the user is willing to be patient) or un-assigning a computerized session currently assigned to another user (e.g., in order to speed up access to a computerized session).

Managing access to a limited number of computerized sessions

A technique is described that determines if a request for authentication is made on the mobile device belonging to the authorized user by examining non confidential memory parameters of the mobile device, for example a total free memory, or a number of stored phone numbers. The technique examines past authorized user values for the memory parameters and performs a statistical analysis and projects a current memory range for each of the parameters for the authorized user. The projection may include factors such as the amount of time elapsed since the mobile device was acquired, the normal variation over a day, a week, a month or a year, and cyclic variations such as many new applications during a specific month each year. The projection may also include baseline variations which may be provided by analysis of a large number of different people. If the device used for the authorization request has memory parameters different from the projected range of authorized user values, then authorization may be refused.
