A system and a method for automatically testing software builds. The system includes testing a first software build using a test package. The test package includes at least a test strategy, a test case, a test model, an automation test script, a crowdsource script, and a manual test script. Further, baseline data is generated based upon a successful execution of the test package on the first software build. Further, a second software build is tested using the test package. Subsequently, the target data is generated based upon an execution of the test package on the second software build. The system then identifies a change in the second software build by comparing the target data with the baseline data. Further, a modification is recommended to the test package for the second software build using Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Identifying feature modification in software builds using baseline data

A method in a server for providing various Internet Protocol television signal qualities involves an IPTV signal having a first signal quality that is transmitted over a first network connection to a first device. A request to receive the IPTV signal over a second network connection at a second device with the IPTV signal having a second signal quality is received. A determination is made that the second network connection has sufficient bandwidth to transmit the IPTV signal at the second signal quality, and that the second device is capable of receiving IPTV signal. The transmission of the IPTV signal over the first network connection to the first device is ended. An endpoint for the transmission of the IPTV signal to the first device is determined. The IPTV signal is transmitted over the second network connection to the second device at the second signal quality beginning at the determined endpoint.

System and method for layered delivery of media content quality

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including providing, by a processor in a dongle coupled to a display device, a graphical user interface at the display device, and transmitting a message to an authentication server in accordance with authentication information stored in a storage device of the dongle and an input via the graphical user interface. The method also includes obtaining an authentication confirmation; obtaining content from a content server; and recording the content in accordance with a second input via the graphical user interface. The recorded content is transmitted for storage at a storage server. The display device communicates with equipment of a video provider that is associated with a service area. In accordance with the authentication confirmation, the processor is authorized to obtain the content based on the location of the dongle relative to the service area. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including determining a degradation of satellite reception in a first geographic area, receiving a weather report for the first geographic area to determine a weather condition, determining a movement of the weather condition to a second geographic area, determining an impairment vector based on the movement to the second geographic area to determine if equipment of customers of a satellite content provider will have an impaired reception of media content, initiating a streaming of media content to the equipment of the customers in the second geographic area according to the impairment vector, and disabling the streaming of the media content to the equipment of the customers in the second geographic area responsive to determining that the second geographic area is no longer impaired by the weather condition. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A method includes concurrently receiving, at a first communication interface of a media device, a first media content stream and a second media content stream. The method includes sending, from the media device to an output device, decoded first media content processed from the first media content stream. The method includes storing decoded second media content processed from the second media content stream in a buffer. The method includes detecting an error associated with a portion of the second media content stream during receipt of the first media content stream and the second media content stream. The method also includes sending, from a second communication interface of the media device to a media content source, a request for the portion. The second communication interface is distinct from the first communication interface.

System and method to request a portion of a media content item

A network interface device (NID) demarcates an access network and a premises network. The NID receives a broadband signal via an access network and transmits optical device signals to pieces of premises equipment. The broadband signal may be a single-mode fiber (SMF) optical signal transmitted over an SMF cable. In these embodiments, the NID may include a transponder including a first stage to convert the SMF signal to an intermediate electrical signal and a second stage to convert the intermediate electrical signal to a premises optical signal. In other embodiments, the broadband signal may be a very high bit rate digital subscriber line (VDSL) or other type of electrical signal and the NID's transponder may convert the VDSL signal to the premises optical signal. The NID may further include a multiplexer to multiplex the premises optical signal into the optical device signals for delivery to premises devices via corresponding premises device ports and plastic optical fiber cables.

A method includes receiving a first media content item at a media device via a first communications interface. The method also includes receiving, while outputting the first media content item from the media device, at least a first portion of a second media content item at the media device via the first communications interface. The method further includes detecting an error associated with a second portion of the second media content item that is different than the first portion of the second media content item. The method also includes sending a request for the second portion of the second media content item via a second communications interface of the media device.

A device is disclosed for determining a first geographical location of a customer premise, a second geographical location of a radio frequency transmitter and a third geographical location of network access equipment proximal to the customer premises, wherein the network access equipment provides access to media signals by way of a broadband communications link. The first, second and third geographical locations are mapped, and a distance between the second geographical location and one of the first geographical location or the third geographical location is determined. The distance is compared to a threshold distance based on a signal transmission power of the radio frequency transmitter, and a mitigation strategy is determined to limit interference of the radio frequency transmitter on the media signals provided to the first geographical location when the distance is less than the threshold distance.

System and method for mapping potential Internet Protocol television interference

Example methods and apparatus to deliver media content across foreign networks are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes receiving a request from a subscriber of a media provider, the media provider associated with a native network and identifying a foreign network associated with a current location of the subscriber. The example method also includes identifying at least one quality of service (QoS) parameter associated with the foreign network, comparing the at least one foreign network QoS parameter with a first threshold value, and at least one of prohibiting a service delivered by the media provider when the at least one foreign network QoS parameter fails to meet the first threshold value, or enabling the service when the at least one foreign network QoS parameter meets the first threshold value.

Methods and apparatus to deliver media content across foreign networks

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a media processor having a controller to receive media content from a content provider operating in an interactive television (iTV) network, wherein the media content is associated with a plurality of channels, wherein the media content comprises audio and video content, change each channel of the plurality of channels based on a time interval provided by a monitoring system, analyze audio content of the media content for each channel for detecting an undesired condition associated with the video content, wherein the audio content is encoded by an iTV audio encoder, and transmit the media content to the monitoring system if the undesired condition is detected, the media content being transmitted for analysis by the monitoring system and for creation of a trouble ticket if a qualitative threshold for the media content is determined to not be satisfied.

A device is disclosed including a memory configured to store a user data frame. The user data frame includes a first portion that includes traffic data. The user data frame also includes a second portion that includes a set of stuff bits arranged in a detectible pattern wherein a count of the set of stuff bits is associated with a measure of transport utilization of a data communication channel over which the user data frame is transported.
