A tube cleaning apparatus for tubes and pipes installed in power plant and similar industrial equipment utilizes a rotating brush assembly fitted to one end of a rotary cable encased in a protective casing and driven at its other end in clockwise and counterclockwise rotation by a reversible motor. The invention provides a drive unit fitted with a plurality of drive rollers for engaging the protective casing and propelling the casing, cable and brush assembly at a high rate of speed into and out of each tube being cleaned. A control system for the drive unit enables the operator to manipulate the reversible motor by issuing pulses to actuate switches controlling on/off and direction of rotation of the motor. An arresting device provides for stopping forward progress of the brush assembly as it reaches the end of each tube being cleaned.

Tube cleaning apparatus

A method and apparatus for cleaning ducts such as used in HVAC systems includes as part of the apparatus a propeller having pitched, flexible blades for rotatably engaging the interior duct surface for dislodging soot and propelling a cloud of soot along the duct to an evacuation point. The method includes establishing a temporary block in the duct, moving the propeller along the duct for dislodging soot and generation a dust cloud, and evacuating the duct by drawing the soot cloud created by the propeller.

Duct cleaning method

A tube cleaning apparatus for tubes and pipes installed in power plant and similar industrial equipment utilizes a rotating brush assembly fitted to one end of a rotary cable encased in a protective casing and driven at its other end in clockwise and counterclockwise rotation by a reversible motor. The invention provides a drive head fitted with a plurality of drive rollers for engaging the protective casing and propelling the casing, cable and brush assembly at a high rate of speed into and out of each tube being cleaned. The drive rollers may be driven by a separately provided reversible motor or by the same motor used for the protective casing. A control mechanism affixed to the drive head enables the operator to manipulate the reversible motor(s) by issuing air pulses to actuate air switches controlling on/off and direction of rotation of the motor(s). An extension device provides for access of the cleaning apparatus particularly the brush assembly to tubes and pipes situated in confined or obstructed locations in a tube sheet. Braking mechanisms are provided for the drive head, protective cable, and the extension device to limit the high speed operational excursion of the brush assembly to tube length.

Apparatus for packaging product in an inverted, open bottom piston-type pressurized dispenser has a mechanism for pressurizing the container above the piston and for inserting a bottom closure on the open bottom and connecting it to the container body to close the open bottom.

This invention relates to novel collapsible containers having laminated tubes and methods for making such containers. The containers are made from three preformed components which are designed and joined together in such a manner as to permit the economical manufacture of containers having a number of different tube diameters. The containers are characterized by soft shoulders that facilitate removal of the containers' contents. Preferred containers of the invention include tamper-proof closure members.

Collapsible laminated tube container and method for making it

A method of making a normally closed, tamper-resistant container having a body, a nozzle insert extending outwardly from an opening of the body, and an integrally-formed closure member molded upon the insert and covering substantially the entire exterior surface and the outer end of the outlet passage thereof. The closure member includes a manually-rupturable connecting section extending thereabout and dividing it into a removable cap portion and a fixed breast portion, which joins the insert to the body. A method for fabricating the container is provided.
