A DC energy storage unit with a plurality of energy storage modules, each energy storage module including a plurality of electrochemical energy storage devices electrically connected in series; an internal control unit in the energy storage module; a power supply for the internal control unit; and a wireless communication system; wherein the total voltage of the plurality of energy storage devices in series is greater than or equal to 40 V DC, wherein the plurality of energy storage modules are coupled together in series, or in parallel, each energy storage unit including a wireless gateway for communication between the energy storage unit controller and each energy storage module; wherein each energy storage module further has a housing, the housing at least partially having a non magnetic material.

Power supply system

A DC energy storage module has a plurality of DC energy storage devices electrically connected in series; an internal control unit in the DC energy storage module; and a power supply for the internal control unit. The power supply for the internal control unit includes one or more of the DC energy storage devices in the module, electrically connected to the internal control unit through a rectifying unit.

An energy storage module with one or more energy storage devices and a cooler on which the energy storage device is mounted in contact with the energy storage device. The cooler has one or more cooling fluid channels for circulating cooling fluid, the channels being in contact with a surface of the energy storage device, each cooling fluid channel being adapted to receive cooling fluid from a source of cooling fluid, extract heat from the energy storage device and return the cooling fluid to the source. At least a part of the cooling fluid channel includes a material having a melting point above 100&#xb0; C.

Cooling system and method

A capacitor support system includes a support structure configured to support at least one capacitor and a pressure generating module configured to generate a pressure on the at least one capacitor. The pressure generating module includes a bearing plate, a transmission plate, and at least one plate shaped leaf spring provided between the bearing plate and the pressure transmission plate. The pressure generating module is connected to the support structure by the bearing plate. The bearing plate is fixedly connected to the connecting structure in such a way that it provides a bearing surface for the at least one leaf spring and keeps the at least one leaf spring in a compressed state between the bearing plate and the at least one capacitor.

Capacitor support system

A pressure compensator for a subsea device for performing a pressure compensation between an ambient medium surrounding the subsea device and a liquid medium filling a volume of the subsea device is provided. The pressure compensator has at least one outer bellow and a first chamber enclosed by the outer bellow. It further has at least one inner bellow which is arranged inside the first chamber, and a second chamber enclosed by the inner bellow. Between the outer bellow and the inner bellow, a compensation volume is confined, which is provided with a fluid connection to the volume of the subsea device.
