Digital object fusion techniques and systems are described. In one or more examples, a base object and an adornment object are received and anchor points of the base object and the adornment object are detected by a digital object fusion system. The digital object fusion system then identifies linked anchor points from the anchor points as supporting a link between the base object and the adornment object. A path is fused by the digital object fusion system that defines the base object and the adornment object based at least in part on the linked anchor points. From this, a fused object is generated by the digital object fusion system by propagating visual style data to the path from the base object or the adornment object.

Embodiments are disclosed for adding node highlighting to vector graphics. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods comprise receiving a selection of a plurality of anchor points of a vector graphic to be highlighted, generating a graph representing one or more path objects of the vector graphic, each node of the graph corresponding to an anchor point of the one or more path objects and each connection corresponding to a path segment connecting the anchor point to another anchor point, identifying a highlight trajectory including a subset of nodes from the graph, the highlight trajectory including at least a start node and an end node, generating a highlight path including at least one or more highlight nodes corresponding to a subset of nodes from the highlight trajectory, and updating the vector graphic to include the highlight path.

Curve offset operations as implemented by a digital image editing system are described. Input points are received via a user interface and a determination is made that a first set of the input points satisfy a condition for use as part of a curve offset operation with respect to a curve. A first segment is added to a path using the curve offset operation. The first segment is generated by aligning the first set of input points using an offset value based on the curve. A determination is then made that a second set of the input points do not satisfy the condition for use as part of the curve offset operation and a second segment is added to the first segment of the path. The second segment is generated using the second set of points and the path is displayed.

The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that generates a modified digital image with a modified rendering order of objects within a digital image. For instance, the disclosed systems generate, in response to an input indicating a selected region of a digital image, an object mask for a first object located at least partially within the selected region of the digital image and further generate a vectorized object mask including a boundary of the first object from the object mask. The disclosed systems determine an overlapping region of the vectorized object mask with the selected region and an additional vectorized object mask. The disclosed systems generate a modified digital image by modifying a rendering order of a portion of the first object corresponding to the selected region and a portion of a second object overlapping the portion of the first object within the selected region.

Modifying digital images via adaptive rendering order of image objects

Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for modifying paths in digital vector images according to similar path geometries in the digital vector images. The disclosed system generates a path cache comprising path information for a plurality of connected path sets within a digital image. The disclosed system also determines, from the plurality of connected path sets, one or more candidate path sets including path information in the path cache within a threshold error of path information of a selected connected path set including an anchor point in the digital image. The disclosed system modifies, utilizing the path cache, the path information of the selected connected path set utilizing path information of a candidate path set of the one or more candidate path sets.

Modifying paths in digital vector images by snapping to similar path geometries

The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media that align objects of a digital image across different perspectives portrayed therein. For instance, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems detect one or more user interactions for moving a first object within a first perspective of a digital image. Additionally, the disclosed systems determine a modified alignment of the first object within the first perspective by mapping an alignment of a second object portrayed within a second perspective of the digital image to the first perspective. The disclosed systems further modify the digital image by positioning the first object within the first perspective in accordance with the modified alignment.

Modifying digital images via object-based alignment across multiple perspectives

A system and methods for text processing include determining a penalty value for a line of a text in a digital document applied with a justification setting. The penalty value indicates a level of typography violation based on the justification setting. The system and methods further include selecting an alternative phrase from multiple alternative phrases for an original phrase in the line based on the penalty value for the line. The system and methods also include modifying the line by using the selected alternative phrase to create a modified text. The modified text can be displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) to a user.

Automatic justification enhancement with minimal content editing

The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media that position objects across multiple perspectives within digital images to be equidistant. For instance, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems detect a user interaction for moving a first object within a first perspective of a digital image. Additionally, the disclosed systems extract a first distance between the first object within the first perspective and a joining edge between the first perspective and a second perspective of the digital image. The disclosed systems also extract a second distance between a second object within the second perspective of the digital image and the joining edge. Based on the first distance and the second distance, the disclosed systems modify the digital image by positioning the first object within the first perspective to be equidistant to the joining edge relative to the second object within the second perspective.

Modifying digital images for equidistant spacing of objects across multiple perspectives

Digital image editing techniques are described as implemented by a depth-aware system of a computing device. The depth-aware system employs a depth-aware grid that defines constraints for depth-aware editing of digital images involving perspective. These techniques support automated editing in which changes to directional spacing, perspective arrangement, perspective movement, object redistribution, and so on are implemented in real time, which is not possible in conventional techniques involving object distortion. As such, these techniques improve operation of the computing device that implements these techniques as well as user efficiency in interacting with the computing device to perform digital image editing that involves perspective.

Digital image editing using a depth-aware system

Embodiments are disclosed for interlacing vector objects. A method of interlacing vector objects may include receiving a selection of a first vector object of an image. The method may further include detecting a second vector object of the image, wherein the second vector object is different than the first vector object. The method may further include determining a first depth position for the first vector object and a second depth position for the second vector object. The method may further include interlacing the second vector object and the first vector object, wherein interlacing comprises drawing the first vector object based on the first depth position and the second vector object based on the second depth position.

Embodiments are disclosed for identifying and modifying overlapping glyphs in a text layout. A method of identifying and modifying overlapping glyphs includes detecting a plurality of overlapping glyphs in a text layout, modifying a geometry of one or more of the overlapping glyphs based on an aesthetic score, updating a rendering tree based on the modified geometry of the one or more overlapping glyphs, and rendering the text layout using the rendering tree.

In implementations for free form radius editing, a computing device implements a radius editing system, such as may be integrated with an image editing application. The radius editing system can determine the edge segments for outlines of image objects depicted in a digital image, where the edge segments include corner segments of the image objects. The radius editing system can also determine the radius values of the corner segments of the image objects, and the radius values of the corner segments are maintained in a cache as part of object data corresponding to the image objects depicted in the digital image. The radius editing system can also identify one or more similar corner segments of the image objects that have an equivalent radius value as a selected corner segment responsive to an editing input of a radius of the selected corner segment of an image object.

Glyph editing techniques through use of an adornment object are described. In one example, an input is received identifying a glyph and an adornment object in digital content displayed in a user interface. Glyph anchor points are obtained based on the glyph and adornment anchor points based on the adornment object. A link is generated between at least one said glyph anchor point and at least one said adornment anchor point. An edit input is received specifying an edit to a spatial property the glyph. The spatial property of the edit is propagated to a spatial property of the adornment object based on the link.

Offset object alignment operations are described that support an ability to control alignment operations to aid positioning of an object in relation to at least one other object in a user interface based an offset value. This is performable through identification of objects that overlap along an axis in a user interface and calculation of offset values using these object pairs. Filtering and priority based techniques are also usable as part of calculated an offset value to be used as part of an alignment operation.

The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for providing angular snapping guides to efficiently, accurately, and flexibly align user interactions and editing operations to existing angular linear segments of digital design objects in a digital design document. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems determine target angular linear segments for presentation of angular snapping guides by generating angular bin data structures based on orientation and signed distances of angular linear segments within the digital design document. Accordingly, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems can efficiently search these angular bin data structures based on angles and signed distances corresponding to user interactions. Further, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems identify a target angular linear segment from the angular bins and provide an angular snapping guide corresponding to the target angular linear segment during transformation of the digital design document.
