One embodiment includes a configurable computing system. The configurable computing system includes a broker module that receives information for one or more applications, obtains one or more attributes for an electronic device, and determines runtime configurations for one or more components for the electronic device. A controller communicates with applications for configuring the one or more components based on the runtime configurations.

Application defined computing component configuration

A method and device for recognizing an utterance. The method includes transmitting context data associated with a first device to a second device. A first speech recognition model is received from the second device. The first speech recognition model is a subset of a second speech recognition model present at the second device. The first speech recognition model is based on the context data. It is determined whether the utterance can be recognized at the first device based on the first speech recognition model. If the utterance cannot be recognized at the first device, then at least a portion of the utterance is sent to the second device. If the utterance can be recognized at the first device, then an action associated with the recognized utterance is performed.

Multi-level speech recognition

One embodiment includes a programmable memory controller. The programmable memory controller includes a request processor that comprises a first domain-specific instruction set architecture (ISA) for accelerating common requests. A transaction processor comprises a second domain-specific ISA for accelerating transaction processing tasks. A dedicated command logic module inspects each memory command to a memory device and stalls particular commands for meeting timing constraints for application specific control of the memory device.

Programmable memory controller

In a first embodiment of the present invention, a method for managing memory in a hybrid memory system is provided, wherein the hybrid memory system has a first memory and a second memory, wherein the first memory is smaller than the second memory and the first and second memories are of different types, the method comprising: identifying two or more pages in the first memory that are compatible with each other based at least in part on a prediction of when individual blocks within each of the two or more pages will be accessed; merging the two or more compatible pages, producing a merged page; and storing the merged page in the first memory.

Page merging for buffer efficiency in hybrid memory systems

An Infrastructure Description Language (IDL) includes Service Level Hints (SLHs) and Service Level Requirements (SLRs). The SLHs and SLRs are used to configure at least one hardware resource in a computing system having an intelligent configurator to broker a hardware configuration based on the SLHs and SLRs.
