A phased array antenna () includes: a plurality of antenna elements (to); a plurality of signal paths (Rand R) that are connected to each of the antenna elements; a storage unit (M) configured to store a set values of at least one of amplitudes or phases of a signal passed through at least one predefined reference path among the plurality of signal paths with regard to at least one of the antenna elements, and an amplitude and phase control unit (or) configured to control at least one of the amplitude or the phase of the signal passed through the reference path connected to the antenna element by using the set value stored in the storage unit, and configured to control amplitude or phase of signal passed through the signal path other than the reference path.

Phased array antenna

Systems and methods for operating a phased array are described. In an example, a system may convert a desired beam direction of a desired beam into at least one phase slope parameter. The phased array may include a plurality of antennas connected to a plurality of front-end circuits of a beam forming circuit, and each antenna may be connected to a respective front-end circuit. For each antenna among the plurality of antennas, the system may determine a phase shift parameter of the antenna based on the at least one phase slope parameter and a physical location of the antenna. For each antenna among the plurality of antennas, the system may map the determined phase shift parameter of the antenna to control settings for a front-end circuit connected to the antenna.

Distributed calculation of beamforming parameters for phased arrays

Systems and methods for operating a beamforming circuit are described. A processor can activate a transmitting element among a plurality of transmitting elements of a beamforming circuit. The processor can activate a receiving element among a plurality of receiving elements of a beamforming circuit. The processor can receive a direct current (DC) signal that represents phase and amplitude of the activated transmitting element and the activated receiving element. The processor can adjust a setting of the beamforming circuit to receive additional DC signals that represent phases and amplitudes of the activated transmitting element and the activated receiving element under the adjusted setting. The processor can determine calibration values for the beamforming circuit based on the DC signal and the additional DC signals.

Amplitude and phase alignment of phased array elements

Methods and systems for estimating a distance to an object are described. In an example, a device can receive a reflected signal of a modulated signal being used in a wireless transmission of data. The reflected signal can be a reflection of the modulated signal from at least one object. The device can estimate a distance to the at least one object based on the modulated signal and the reflected signal. Further, the device can use the estimated distance to image a scenery including the at least one object.

Imaging with wireless communication signals

A processor may calibrate a first actuator electrically coupled to a transconductance stage of the frequency conversion circuit. The transconductance stage may be configured to receive a differential signal input. Calibrating a first actuator may adjust a first basis vector associated with a differential direct current (DC) output of the transconductance stage. A processor may calibrate a second actuator electrically coupled to receive the differential current output of the transconductance stage and electrically coupled to a set of commutating devices of the frequency conversion circuit. The commutating devices may be configured to receive differential LO inputs. Calibrating a second actuator may adjust a second basis vector associated with a differential impedance of the set of commutating devices. A processor may offset responsive to adjusting the first basis vector and the second basis vector, the first leakage basis vector and second leakage basis vector of the LO leakage signal.

LO leakage suppression in frequency conversion circuits

A phased array antenna includes an antenna array substrate having a plurality of antenna elements. At least two beamformers are coupled to the plurality of antenna elements. At least two filters support different frequency bands and are respectively coupled to the at least two beamformers. A frequency converter is coupled to the at least two filters, the frequency converter including one intermediate frequency (IF) port and at least two radio frequency (RF) ports. The one IF port of the frequency converter is configured to support the at least two beamformers via the at least two RF ports. A first beamformer of the at least two beamformers is coupled to a first filter of the at least two filters to form a first beam in a direction different than a second beamformer of the first two beamformers coupled to a second filter of the at least two filters.

Phased array system-in package supporting spatio-spectral division multiplexing

An example operation may include one or more of receiving, via a network, tag data that is read from a tag associated with a physical object and signed with a key assigned to the tag, determining, via a blockchain peer, that the signed tag data is validly signed based on a corresponding key pair of the tag which is accessible to the blockchain peer, determining, via the blockchain peer, whether the tag data satisfies of one or more predefined conditions of the physical object, and storing the determination via a blockchain database.

Storage and communication environment for cryptographic tags

Methods and system for shaping radiation patterns are described. Given a plurality of radiation patterns corresponding to spatial combinations of a plurality of signals, a system can perform beam switching between the given plurality of radiation patterns within a configured time. The beam switching within the configured time can create a beam having a new radiation pattern within the signal modulation bandwidth.

Time-based beam switching in phased arrays

A radio frequency identification (RFID) system. An RFID tag may include multiple antennas connected with associated circuitry. An RFID tag's multiple antennas and associated circuitry are connected in parallel, and output power of the multiple associated circuitry can be combined. Each of the multiple antennas can be tuned for a different operating property or region. An RFID reader can include multiple antennas connected with associated circuitry. RFID reader's multiple antenna interfaces connect with a baseband processor, which can integrate resources of the reader's multiple antennas and associated circuitry. RFID tag and/or reader can be configured to support wireless channel diversity in enhancing at least one of power delivery and communication link budget.

Leveraging channel diversity in wireless power and communication

An antenna that can be embedded in a computer system or device is described. In an example, the antenna includes a feed operable to transmit and receive power. The antenna includes a first arm being extended from the feed towards a first direction to form a first partial loop. The antenna further includes a second arm being extended from the feed towards a second direction to form a second partial loop. The second direction is different from the first direction.

Devices, computer-implemented methods, and systems that can facilitate radio frequency identification components are provided. According to an embodiment, a device can comprise a memory that can be coupled to an integrated circuit device that can have a processor and an accelerator component that can execute a cryptographic module. The device can further comprise a radio frequency identification device that can be coupled to the integrated circuit device that can communicate with a radio frequency identification reader device based on the cryptographic module.

A radio frequency identification (RFID) system may include a plurality of RFID readers and RFID tags. A RFID reader may include an antenna configured to operate at a first frequency and transmit a first beam of a first beam width to the plurality of RFID tags. The RFID antenna may further include an antenna array including a plurality of antennas configured to operate at a second frequency. The antenna array may be configured to transmit a second beam of a second beam width to the plurality of RFID tags. The RFID reader may receive backscatter signals and tag data from the plurality of RFID tags. The RFID reader may locate the plurality of RFID tags based on the backscatter signals and a direction of the second beam. The RFID reader may generate a 3D map of the tag data based on the locations of the plurality of RFID tags.

Simultaneous wireless power transmission, communication, and localization

Systems and methods of low power docking of sleep mode radios are disclosed herein. In an example embodiment, a crystal oscillator is purposefully mistuned to achieve lower power consumption, and then synchronized using a high frequency crystal oscillator. In an alternative embodiment, the input offset voltages of the comparator in an RC oscillator are cancelled, which allows low power operation and high accuracy performance when tuned to the high frequency crystal. A lower power comparator may be used with higher input offset voltages but still achieve higher accuracy. The RC circuit is switched back and forth on opposite phases of the output, cancelling the offset voltage on the inputs of the comparator.
