Disclosed embodiments relate to instructions for fused multiply-add (FMA) operations with variable-precision inputs. In one example, a processor to execute an asymmetric FMA instruction includes fetch circuitry to fetch an FMA instruction having fields to specify an opcode, a destination, and first and second source vectors having first and second widths, respectively, decode circuitry to decode the fetched FMA instruction, and a single instruction multiple data (SIMD) execution circuit to process as many elements of the second source vector as fit into an SIMD lane width by multiplying each element by a corresponding element of the first source vector, and accumulating a resulting product with previous contents of the destination, wherein the SIMD lane width is one of 16 bits, 32 bits, and 64 bits, the first width is one of 4 bits and 8 bits, and the second width is one of 1 bit, 2 bits, and 4 bits.

An SCR after-treatment system for a locomotive engine includes an enclosure defining an exhaust flow path from an inlet to an outlet, the inlet being flexibly connected to an exhaust outlet of the engine, an injector located in the inlet and configured to provide an aerosolized reductant into the exhaust flow path, a mixing tube extending from the inlet into the enclosure towards a back wall of the enclosure; a plurality of catalyst cells extending parallel to the mixing tube; the exhaust flow path traveling through the plurality of catalyst cells between the mixing tube and the outlet, and a side channel located between the mixing tube and the plurality of catalyst cells. The enclosure is configured to create low back pressure and an even distribution of the exhaust flow path across the plurality of catalyst cells.

A noise reducing airfoil defining a span extending between a root and a tip and a chord at each point along the span extending between a leading edge and a trailing edge. The airfoil includes a pressure side, a suction side, and a trailing edge sheath including an outer surface coupled to the trailing edge of the airfoil. The trailing edge sheath extends at least partially along the chord on the pressure and suction sides at each point along the span within the trailing edge sheath. The trailing edge sheath defines a fluid passageway extending along at least a portion of the span. Further, the trailing edge sheath defines at least one aperture on at least one of the pressure side, the suction side, or trailing edge fluidly coupling the fluid passageway to the outer surface.

A computer-implemented method includes detecting an anticipated unavailability of a first individual for a given future event, based on inputs generated by the first individual and databases of stored calendar information pertaining to the first individual and the given future event; identifying tasks, related to the given future event, requiring a delegation as a result of the anticipated unavailability of the first individual, wherein identifying is based on data related to the given future event; determining additional individuals to whom the tasks can be delegated, based on qualifications of the additional individuals and one or more constraints; generating a summary of the delegation comprising a description of the tasks and information pertaining to the given future event; and outputting the summary to at least one of the additional individuals.

A wind turbine blade is described wherein at least on planar member is provided on the blade surface, where the planar member is arranged such that it extends at an angle to the chord of the blade. The planar member acts to re-direct airflow over the blade, to improve wind turbine performance. The planar member may be a stall fence provided towards the blade root end, further acting to divert airflow towards the root end of the blade to prevent separation of attached airflow. Additionally or alternatively, the planar member may be a flow diverter provided towards the blade tip end, to increase airflow in the tip region for increased performance and/or to disrupt the formation of tip vortices.

The method includes receiving a plurality of payloads from a plurality of users, assigning each payload to a writer thread, creating a corresponding writer queue by each the writer threads, enqueuing queue entries into the writer queues maintained exclusively by the each of the writer threads and dequeuing sequentially the queue entries by a reader thread. Further, the method includes adding and removing one or more writer threads in real time. The system includes an electronic device for displaying a plurality of payloads. The system also includes a processor, a memory that stores instructions and a communication interface in electronic communication with the electronic device and the processor.

Further, datatype information of the XML schema is stored in the XML schema type node array for datatype validation of the XML schema. Evaluation of Multiple XPath Queries in a Streaming XPath Processor. A hit of a location path is determined in a SAX event. All XPath queries corresponding to the location path are then identified. XML nodes associated with the SAX event is identified as potential output nodes for all XPath queries including the location path as a main location path. The potential output nodes are nodes satisfying criteria of a node test of a last location step of the main location path. The potential output nodes are then buffered for all XPath queries comprising unevaluated predicates. For each XPath query the potential output nodes are buffered at a location step including an unevaluated predicate. Thereafter, all XPath queries are evaluated by progressively evaluating the unevaluated predicates of all XPath queries based on availability of data.

Evaluation of multiple Xpath queries in a streaming XPath processor

Modifying Xpath queries dynamically during an ongoing Xpath evaluation. A modification request comprising at least one Xpath query in response to an input is received in an ongoing Xpath evaluation on an online stream of XML messages. A current generation of Nondeterministic Finite Automaton (NFA) is generated and the branches starting from the root node are identified according to the modification request. The identified branches are copied and modified to create a new generation of NFA. New generation of NFA is used for subsequent Xpath evaluations.

Dynamic modification of Xpath queries

Simplified XPath evaluation in Extensible Markup Language (XML) document validation. XML schema is compiled into a one dimensional array of schema nodes, where a schema node represents a complex/simple type definition in the XML scheme. Identity constraints are processed during compilation and Xpath expressions within these constraints are extracted and parsed. Further, these Xpath expressions are evaluated at compilation time to identify the schema nodes corresponding to the XML nodes referred in the identity constraints. The identity constraints are then enforced at runtime without the need to evaluate the Xpath expressions at the runtime.
