A method of providing an integrated graphical user interface can include responsive to executing a host computer program, displaying, within a graphical user interface of the host computer program, a visual element of a plug-in that executes in cooperation with the host computer program without loading a functional component of the plug-in within program execution memory of a computer system executing the host computer program. At least a portion of the functional component of the plug-in can be loaded within program execution memory responsive to a selection of the visual element.

Dynamically loaded plug-ins to provide an integrated graphical user interface

A computer-implemented method of updating an installed computer program can include receiving a user input specifying a query against help documents of a documentation system of the installed computer program and executing the query against the help documents. Responsive to determining a query result, usage information for the documentation system can be stored within computer memory of a computer system. The usage information can include at least one entry, wherein the entry includes at least a portion of the query and the query result, thereby specifying an association between the query and the query result. The usage information can be automatically sent to a remote computer system affiliated with a provider of the installed computer program.

Updating an installed computer program

A system and method for reading back data from a programmable logic device (PLD). A clock offset table having one or more clock offset values is constructed. Each clock offset value indicates a relative clock cycle at which a selected bit read from the device is saved and sent to a host computer. The data is read from the PLD at a rate of one bit per readback clock cycle, and the readback clock cycles are counted as the bits are read from the device. When the count of readback clock cycles equals an offset, the bit is selected and saved.

System and method for reading data from a programmable logic device

A method is disclosed for allowing a user to enter a register symbol in a schematic diagram and attach to the register symbol both asynchronous and synchronous reset inputs. The method further provides for automatically generating an equivalent circuit from the register symbol. In one embodiment, the user may also specify a constant value (including don't are values) to be returned in response to the reset signal. In a preferred embodiment the user may specify values to be returned in response to both asynchronous and synchronous reset signals. In a preferred embodiment the user can specify a prioritized list of values for the synchronous reset control.
