Standard video (and audio) data are combined or blended with immersive video (and audio) data. The data may be collected together, and the standard video views may be a default or reflect a primary view or scene for certain content. The immersive video views may be adjacent or around the primary view, and are available for viewing based upon audience input. The data are blended temporally and spatially to synchronize and align them for virtually seamless transition between the standard video view and the immersive video views. Blending may be performed before distribution, after distribution, or some combination of these.

Provided is a method for correlating individual action information with media content distribution, the method including obtaining data related to a presence of an external terminal relative to an output device providing media content, obtaining identifying information of a user associated with the detected external terminal, and storing, in a memory, data received from another party which indicates an action of the user at a virtual or physical location associated with a product or service presented in the provided media content.

System and method for detecting and correlating individual action information to media content distribution

Current embodiments relate to generation/sharing of a snapshot of content that the user is viewing. Upon generation of a request for a snapshot of currently viewed content, the snapshot may be generated based at least in part upon one or more parameters and/or criteria included in the request and/or service generating the snapshot. Upon completion of the snapshot, a response that provides the snapshot or a location where the snapshot may be viewed is provided, such that the snapshot may be provided to particular sharing targets, such as social media platforms, electronic devices, email, etc.

Supplementary digital content is provided to be played with primary digital content on a media device, such as a television, handheld device, smart phone, computer, and so forth. The primary digital content is sampled, and the time of the sample is noted. The primary digital content is identified, and the supplementary digital content is selected and transmitted, with an indication of timing for play of the supplementary digital content based upon the sample time. Synchronization of the primary and supplementary digital content playback is based upon reference to the sample time.

Primary digital content played on a media device, such as a television, handheld device, smart phone, computer, or other device, is sampled and data is derived from the sample for identification of the primary digital content. Automatic content recognition is performed to determine the primary digital content. The time of the sample may also be determined. Supplementary digital content is then selected and transmitted to the media device, or to another device, based upon the identified primary digital content. The supplementary digital content may be adapted in layout, type, length, or other manners, based upon the platform and/or configuration of the media device or any other device to which the supplementary digital content is transmitted.
