Data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) for communication networks

Managing vehicle resources by a network device in lieu of a designated vehicle control device is disclosed. A connected car resource manager of a carrier core network can receive vehicle information intended for the designated vehicle control device. The connected car resource manager can determine a response command that can be substituted for a command from the designated vehicle control device update a parameter of the vehicle. The response command can be based on the vehicle information, supplementary information, etc. Moreover, the response command can be adapted based on a second tier of supplementary information by another carrier core network device. In some embodiments, the connected car resource manager can share management of response commands with the designated vehicle control device vehicle. The connected car resource manager can employ information about other vehicles connected to a network that is not available to the designated vehicle control device.

Extending user equipment (UE) access to resources of a private network via a private core network component (PCNC) and a carrier core network component (CCNC) is disclosed. An allocation component comprised in a carrier core network can receive extension information from a first PCNC that can enable determining a connection between the first PCNC and another core network component that can extend resource access. In an embodiment, the other core network component can be the CCNC resulting in the UE having access via the CCNC and the first PCNC. In another embodiment, the other core network component can be a second PCNC resulting in the UE having access to the resources via the second PCNC, the CCNC, and the first PCNC. In a further embodiment, extending access can result in the UE having access to the resources via a second PCNC, a plurality of CCNCs, and the first PCNC.

Configurable extension of private mobile network access

When a network element attempts to establish a session with another network element, a security verification agent may be activated in one or both network elements. The security verification agents, such as front-end processors, virtual network functions, or other software agents, may reside in each of the network elements.

Cybersecurity guard for core network elements

A streaming orchestrator may monitor the quality of video being delivered to a home or other building. If the streaming orchestrator determines that additional performance is needed, it may create an additional User Plane Gateway in the virtual 'white box' environment residing in the customer premises. The streaming orchestrator may instruct gNodeBs to continue to route traffic back to the central core functions or to route traffic to local user plane gateways which transmit video streams to the Internet via localized high-speed connections.

Generally, implementing a core network can be highly resource intensive, e.g., high labor, equipment, and monetary costs. The level of resources that are conventionally committed in developing a core instance can be a significant barrier for many small or medium sized entities. The disclosed subject matter discloses a configuration component that can generate a core instance that can be performed at a remotely located access network. In an embodiment, a remotely implemented core instance can be updatable. Further, in response to a remotely implemented core instance failing to perform, a monitoring component can facilitate a failover operation.

Generating a core instance at a first access network core configurator to facilitate operation of a second access network

Mobile telecommunications network access point configuration and fiber routing configuration for customer premises equipment is disclosed. A customer premises component (CPE) can comprise a customer premises mobile broadband to steerable fiber component (CPC) comprising a baseband control unit, a user-plane function component, and a fiber path selection component that can enable configuration of a cellular frontend facing a user equipment (UE) and configuration of a fiber backend facing other endpoint devices. The CPC can receive information pertinent to the configuring the frontend/backend from a network management component, a carrier network component, and internet component, etc. The CPC can automatically adapt configuration of the frontend/backend to selectively enable traffic to flow between the UE and another endpoint device.

Mobile telecommunications network access point configuration and fiber routing configuration for customer premises equipment

An access identifier and network slice access management component (ANMC) is disclosed. The ANMC can receive service access update information from an entity, for example a customer/enterprise, that be used to update service access of a user equipment (UE) to services of a network. Embodiments of the ANMC can facilitate updating an access identity parameter, updating an access priority parameter, updating a network slice access parameter, or combinations thereof. An ANMC can be embodied in a virtualized network function, as hardware, as software, or combinations thereof. An ANMC can be local to a network supporting the UE or can be located remotely from the network supporting the UE, such as in execution on a server of a cloud platform. The ANMC can support management of UE service access by an entity other than a carrier supporting the UE via a device external to a network of the carrier.

Access identifier and network slice access management

A device in an evolved packet core (EPC) which includes a processor and a memory. The processor effectuates operations including receiving from one or more devices residing within a customer premise equipment (CPE) portion of a telecommunications network, sensor data associated with one or more customers and in response to receiving the sensor data, generating a data request for an ecosystem status for the CPE portion of the telecommunications network. The processor further effectuates operations including obtaining customer information for the one or more customers and creating an analytics environment, using the customer information, for the one or more customers. The processor further effectuates operations including performing, within the analytics environment, analytics on the sensor data to determine a state of the CPE portion of the telecommunications network for the one or more customers and in response to performing analytics on the sensor data, optimizing the telecommunications network.

The user device creates a virtual network function on the device to support the service. Method and apparatus for operating an on-demand video gateway

Management of immersive reality devices via a reduced competition core network component is disclosed. The reduced competition core network component can preferentially be reserved for immersive reality device data and can therefore exclude some or all other types of data typically associated with conventional wireless network devices, e.g., phone, tablet/laptop computers, IoT devices, etc. This can result in immersive reality data communication that does not have to compete with more generic data types for network or computing resources. Additionally, the reduced competition core network component can be divided into at least one reduced competition user-plane network component and at least one reduced competition control-plane network component. Use of a reduced competition user-plane network component can avoid generating additional carrier network traffic. Further, a reduced competition user-plane network component can facilitate non-carrier entity authentication, security protocols, etc. Hierarchical network component topology can enable rule-based access to computing and network resources.

Immersive reality component management via a reduced competition core network component

A security keys broker residing on a core mobile communication network may manage security keys associated with network-enabled devices, such as Internet-of-Things devices. The security keys broker may authenticate, encrypt, or decrypt communications with the network-enabled devices using the associated security keys. Characteristics of the communications with the network-enabled devices may be determined, and the security keys broker may determine insecure communications based on the characteristics. Responsive to determining that an insecure communication has occurred, the security keys broker may update one or more of the security keys.
