The disclosed embodiments relate to systems and methods for method and systems for sub-allocating computational resources. A first computing device receives information associated with a first set of computational resources from a cloud infrastructure. The first set of computational resources has been allocated to the first computing device by the cloud infrastructure. A first set of parameters associated with a workflow received by the first computing device is determined. The first set of parameters is indicative of a need of the first set of computational resources by the first computing device. One or more computational resources from the first set of computational resources are sub-allocated based on the determined first set of parameters.

Method and systems for sub-allocating computational resources

A user of a computerized device creates an item capable of being printed and stores the item within storage of the computerized device. An instruction to perform delayed printing of the item is received from a user of a computerized device when the user is outside a predetermined physical range of at least one printing device. The computerized device detects when the computerized device is within the predetermined physical range of the printing device and, when this occurs, the computerized device provides the user a printing option to print the item on the printing device. If the user selects the printing option, the methods herein forward the item to a conversion device. The conversion device makes the item print ready so that the item can be printed using the printing device. The methods herein then cause the item to be forwarded from the conversion device to the printing device and printed on the printing device.

Delayed printing from a computerized device

A method and system for enabling automatic service sharing and custom user interface features in a fleet of multi-function devices. EIP (Extensible Interface Platform) services can be registered via a peer-to-peer discovery subsystem associated with a multi-function device grid infrastructure. EIP service registration information can be submitted and stored in the grid infrastructure. The multi-function devices can be equipped with an enterprise EIP client, which can query the discovery subsystem and apply a corporate policy. The discovery subsystem detects the optimal instance of the service based on loading and availability factors and then returns a reference with respect to the services that allows access to enhanced services. Such an approach enables a fleet of multi-function devices to dynamically discover EIP services and auto populate service options to provide increased capability, reduced complexity, and improved speed.

Method and system for automatic sharing and custom user interface features in a fleet of multi-function devices

Embodiments described herein are directed to personalizing event participation of a visitor at an event. Embodiments include communication nodes that form defined wireless areas. A first one of the communication nodes determines when the visitor enters a first defined wireless area in response to detecting an identifier associated with the personal portable wireless device associated with the visitor, records user activities of the visitor within the first one of defined wireless areas, and determines an interest of the visitor in response to the user activities in the first defined wireless area, where the interest is used to customize the event for the visitor.

Personalization of event participation in mobile neighborhoods

A mobile client coupled to a network and a method for the mobile client to interact with nodes, including printer devices, which are coupled to the network, are provided. One or more respective nodes includes a software application executable by a host processor associated with the respective node on a software platform executed by the host processor. The application can interact with one of the printer devices to cause the printer device to perform a function. The mobile client includes an software platform executable by its processor for discovering the applications. The discovering of an application includes ascertaining that the application is available for execution and having the ability to activate the application.

System and method for communicating with a network of printers using a mobile device

It reduces the cost of UI and greatly enhances ease-of-use by realizing that the networked system can be headless and use a browser-based UI for its platform. System and method for remote communication with a multifunctional device

The Device Model Agent (DMA), the device side technology module in Device Centric Services (DCS) system, is the main focus of this invention. DMA is a thin, efficient applications/services execution environment. DMA provides an embedded services platform for enabling system management applications and services. This allows a flexible, extensible, dynamic services management module allowing networked services to be designed, added, and managed within the system without modifications to devices, DCS system, or DMA itself. While this invention specifically describes the integration of benefits from DMA into document system devices, the concepts are equally applicable in other domains. The DMA runtime environment is a thin software interface layer that resides on a document system device between the Java runtime environment and embedded web server.

Device model agent

A system for conveying diagnostic data from a machine, such as a digital copier or printer, to a remote specialist allows simultaneous transfer of diagnostic data and live voice data through the same communication channel. A distinct sequence of steps between the computer in the machine and the specialist's computer minimizes the chance of time-wasting errors in establishing communication.
