A foamable or foamed article comprising a diene terpolymer, the diene terpolymer comprising (or consisting essentially of) from 0.01 wt % to 10.0 wt % diene derived units, and 1.0 wt % to 20 wt % of Cto C&#x3b1;-olefin derived units based on the weight of the diene terpolymer, wherein the diene terpolymer: a) has a g'of less than 0.90; b) has an Mw within a range of from 100,000 g/mol to 500,000 g/mol; c) has an Mw/Mn within the range of from 3.5 to 12.0; and d) an Mz/Mn of greater than 7.0. Inventive articles comprise a blend of a relatively high density linear polyethylene and the diene terpolymer.

Foamed polyethylene compositions

Provided is a composition having 70 wt % to 90 wt % of a first propylene-olefin copolymer component having an ethylene content of 15 to 21 wt %; and 10 wt % to 30 wt % of a second propylene-olefin copolymer component having an ethylene content of 6 to 10 wt %; wherein the weight average molecular weight of the first component is 250,000 to 1,780,000 g/mol higher than the weight average molecular weight of the second component; wherein the reactivity ratio product of the first component is less than 0.75; wherein the reactivity ratio product of the second component is greater than or equal to 0.75.

Propylene-olefin copolymers and methods for making the same

A method of forming a blown film comprising extruding a molten composition through a die opening to form a film; wherein the molten composition comprises at least one polyethylene and within the range from 0.10 wt % to 10 wt % of a cyclic-diene terpolymer by weight of the composition; causing the film to progress in a direction away from the die opening; cooling the film at a distance from the die opening, the distance adjusted to effect the properties of the film; and isolating a blown film therefrom.

The present invention relates to a cast film comprising a composition comprising more than 25 wt % (based on the weight of the composition) of one or more linear ethylene polymers having a g'of 0.97 or more and an Mw of 20,000 g/mol or more and at least 0.1 wt % of a branched modifier where the modifier has a) a g&#x2032;of 0.90 or less; b) an Mw of 100,000 g/mol or more; c) an Mw/Mn of 3.0 or more; d) an Mz/Mn of 7.0 or more; e) a shear thinning ratio of 40 or more; and f) an I21 of 20 dg/min or less; where the film has at least a 10% reduction in neck-in as compared to the same composition formed into a film under the same conditions, except that the branched modifier is absent.
