A tool support incorporates height adjustment and locking features in common components. A pivoting door is used to control the engagement of a height adjustment threaded shaft with the bearing flange of the power tool, with the position of the pivoting door controlled by a manual actuator. In one position the manual actuator allows the door to pivot outward to disengage the height adjustment shaft from the bearing flange. In a second position the manual actuator moves the door to engage the height adjustment shaft with the bearing flange to permit 'micro' height adjustment by rotation of the height adjustment shaft. In a third position the manual actuator presses the door into the height adjustment shaft to effectively lock the shaft in position.

Base for a trim router

A miter saw including a bevel lock assembly and bevel actuation lever assembly. The bevel lock assembly locks and unlocks a bevel post at a selected position in response to movement of an actuation handle located at a front of the miter saw easily accessible by a user. The bevel lock assembly locks the bevel post in place when the actuation handle is at a rest position. Rotation of the handle to a tensioned position unlocks the bevel lock assembly to enable repositioning of the bevel post to thereby adjust a cutting angle of a saw blade of the miter saw.

A routing machine comprises a base unit and a motor unit releasably connected to the base unit. The base unit includes a handle and a first electrical connector. The motor unit includes an electric motor, motor control circuitry configured to energize or de-energize the electric motor, and a second electrical connector connected to the motor control circuitry. The second electrical connector is configured to engage the first electrical connector when the motor unit is properly seated on the base unit. An electric switch is positioned on the base unit. The motor control circuitry is configured to deliver electric power to the electric motor when the switch is in an on position. The motor control circuitry is configured to not provide electric power to the electric motor when the switch is in an off position.

A routing machine comprises a first plunge post, a second plunge post, and an electric motor moveable on the routing machine relative to the first plunge post and the second plunge post. A first sleeve bearing is slideably positioned on the first plunge post with a first clearance defined between the first sleeve bearing and the first plunge post. The first sleeve bearing is configured to slide along the first plunge post when the electric motor moves relative to the first plunge post. A second sleeve bearing is slideably positioned on the second plunge post with a second clearance defined between the second sleeve bearing and the second plunge post. The second sleeve bearing is configured to slide along the second plunge post when the electric motor moves relative to the second plunge post. At least one flexible member extends from the second sleeve bearing toward the second plunge post.

A routing machine comprises a base unit including an inner surface and a motor unit. The motor unit is releasably positioned in the base unit. The motor unit includes an outer surface engaging the inner surface of the base unit and a clamp mechanism moveable between a clamping position and a release position. The clamp mechanism is configured to apply a clamping force to the outer surface of the motor unit when in the clamping position. A moveable clamp adjustment member is positioned on the base unit. Movement of the clamp adjustment member, when the clamp mechanism is in the clamping position, adjusts the clamping force applied to the outer surface of the motor unit by the clamp mechanism.
