A contamination indicator is for filter elements () for fluids that are replaceably housed in a filter housing (). The indicator has a fluid-conveying connection () to the interior of the housing () and possesses an indicating device () providing information concerning the degree to which the filter element is contaminated (). A temperature-dependently active actuation device () is connected upstream from the indicating device () in the direction of fluid inlet. By the actuation device, the indicating device () is activated when the fluid temperature has reached a predefinable threshold value.

Contamination indicator

A modular unit has at least one filter (), pump () and cooling unit () fluidically connected to each other by a connection module () and connected to a tank unit (). The connection module () opens out inside () the tank unit with a suction opening (), together with the cooling unit () when the tank unit is connected (). The filter unit () and pump unit () are arranged outside the tank unit (). The modular unit can then be placed on and connected to a tank unit. The cooling unit protrudes inside the tank unit.
