A sealing blade includes opposite elongated edges () and between them a flat () and which is adaptable to a blade holder () arranged in a coating applicator () of a coating device () and into contact with a moving surface (). The sealing blade has a contact surface (), which may be arranged against the moving surface and which is 5-15% of the width (W) of the sealing blade ().

A rod-bed assembly has a holder () with a groove () into which an insert () is removably and insertably supported. The assembly has a rod () which is rotatably supported in a recess () on the front side of the insert (). The material thickness (T) of the cross-section of the insert () is between 1-5 mm. The invention also relates to a rod -rod-bed assembly.

Rod-bed assembly

A rod cradle for a film, coating, or dam rod includes a frame profile () equipped with an insert groove (), an insert () fitted into the insert groove, and the insert having a rod groove () and a rod () therein. The device has locking elements () for locking the insert () into the frame profile (). There are, on the sides of the insert groove, edges () through which the insert passes into the insert groove when the rod is not present. On the sides of the rod groove () there are opposing lips (). The lips () have vertices () through which the rod () can pass without damage to the rod or the insert so that the rod can be inserted in to the rod groove () and lock the insert () in the insert groove () of the frame profile.
