A windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade includes at least one longitudinal slit, in which slit at least one longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed, which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device for a rod-like extension of an oscillating arm, wherein said rod-like extension can be pivotally connected to said connecting device about a pivot axis near a free end thereof, wherein said connecting device comprises a first part and a second part, wherein said rod-like extension of said oscillating arm can be pivotally connected to said first part about said pivot axis, with the interposition of said second part, wherein said first part is connected to said wiper blade and said second part is pivotally (preferably also detachably) connected onto said first part, wherein said second part comprises a channel arranged to receive said free end of said rod-like extension, with the special feature that said windscreen wiper device comprises a housing for said rod-like extension, wherein said housing is arranged to be connected to said second part, and wherein said housing comprises a channel to receive said rod-like extension, said channel of said housing in mounted position being co-axial with said channel of said second part.

Windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type

A windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type having an elastic, elongated carrier element and an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, adapted to be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped. The wiper blade includes at least one longitudinal slit, in which at least one longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed. The windscreen wiper device comprises an oscillating arm having a rod-like extension, a connecting device and a nozzle for spraying a washing liquid onto the windscreen to be wiped. The connecting device includes a channel adapted to receive a free end of the rod-like extension and a second channel adapted to receive the nozzle upon insertion of the free end of the rod-like extension inside the first channel of the connecting device. The nozzle is adapted to be mounted onto the rod-like extension.

A windscreen wiper device, particularly for automobiles, comprising an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, the wiper blade comprising a connecting device for an oscillating arm, wherein the oscillating arm near one end thereof is pivotally connected to the wiper blade () and near the other end thereof is connected to a mounting head on a drive shaft for transferring a reciprocal movement to the wiper blade, wherein the windscreen wiper device further comprises a cap detachably connected to the mounting head at the location where the oscillating arm is connected to the mounting head, wherein the cap is snapped onto an outer wall of the mounting head in axial direction thereof, with the special feature that the cap comprises at least one resilient, downwardly extending tongue having a hole, wherein the outer wall of the mounting head comprises a laterally outwardly extending protrusion engaging in the hole of the tongue, and wherein the resilient tongue is hingeable along an hinge axis between an inward position retaining the cap onto the mounting head and an outward position releasing the cap from the mounting head.

Windscreen wiper device

A windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type is provided. The windscreen wiper device includes a connecting device for a rod-like extension of an oscillating arm. The rod-like extension can be pivotally connected to the connecting device about a pivot axis near one end thereof. The connecting device comprises a channel arranged to receive the rod-like extension. The channel includes a first chamber facing towards an entrance of the channel, as well as a second chamber facing away from the entrance. The first chamber has a larger width than the second chamber. The first chamber is arranged to receive a first part of the free end of the rod-like extension. The second chamber is arranged to receive a second part of the free end of the rod-like extension. The first part of the rod-like extension has a larger width than the second part of the rod-like extension.

A connecting device for interconnecting a windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type and an oscillating arm pivotally connectable to the connecting device about a pivot axis near one end thereof. The windscreen wiper device comprises an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped. The wiper blade includes at least one groove, in which a longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed. The connecting device comprises a first part arranged to be connected to the windscreen wiper device, as well as a second part arranged to be interposed between the first part and the oscillating arm. The second part is arranged to be pivotally connected to the first part optionally around a first pivot axis or around a second pivot axis.

A windscreen wiper device comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element (), as well as an elongated wiper blade o() f a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade is of the flat blade type and includes at least one longitudinal groove (), in which groove a longitudinal strip () of the carrier element is disposed, which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device () for an oscillating arm (), wherein the oscillating arm is pivotally connected to the connecting device about a pivot axis near a free end thereof, with the interposition of a joint part (), wherein the oscillating arm has an at least substantially U-shaped cross-section at the location of its connection to the joint part, and wherein the joint part is positioned at least substantially within the U-shaped cross-section of the oscillating arm, with the special feature that the oscillating arm and the joint part are interconnected by introduction of the joint part between legs of the U-shaped cross-section of the oscillating arm in longitudinal direction of the wiper blade, wherein an end side of the joint part facing towards the free end of the oscillating arm closes the U-shaped cross-section thereof from the outside.
