Systems and methods for automatically performing a cleaning operation for a portion of a building are described herein. In one example, cleaning data specifying human activity in the portion of the building and/or one or more current infection rates for one or more pathogens can be received from one or more data sources. Based on the cleaning data, a probability of the one or more pathogens being present in the portion of the building can be determined. One or more cleaning operations for the portion of the building can be determined based on the received cleaning data, a determined probability of the one or more pathogens being present, and a risk tolerance condition. In response to detecting a trigger for at least one cleaning operation, a command can be generated to perform the at least one cleaning operation, and the command can be transmitted to a cleaning device.

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a cognition analysis and response system that can A) identify and classify machine learning training data and use the training data to build a cognitive impairment machine learning model; B) identify cognitive impairments by applying the cognitive impairment machine learning model and performing a false positive/false negative analysis; and C) apply various automated adaptive measures for users with identified cognitive impairment. The cognition analysis and response system can generate training data by using an unsupervised training process and verifying results with validations of training items that have been pre-classified. The cognition analysis and response system can then iterate through each set of inputs paired with cognitive impairment classification, applying a machine learning model and updating the model based on a comparison of the model output to the cognitive impairment classification.

Techniques provided herein employ a mesh network of wireless communication-enabled devices to monitor activity in a geographical area, such as a neighborhood or a parking lot. To this end, the mesh network monitoring system collects data about the devices found in the mesh network and establishes an expected activity level, which is used as a reference for comparing and classifying a current activity level. If the current activity level deviates significantly from the expected activity level, it may be classified as an unusual event. Upon detecting an unusual event, the mesh monitoring network may output a notification sent to the users of the devices in the mesh network. The mesh network monitoring system may help drivers determine availability of parking spots on a parking lot.

The present disclosure relates to detecting the use of fake voice command to activate microphones of smart devices. In one embodiment, sound characteristics associated with an audio signal from a microphone of smart device may be compared with other microphones of the smart device in order to detect fake voice commands. In another embodiment, sound characteristics associated with the audio signal from the microphone may be compared with a threshold range of stored sound characteristics in order to detect fake voice commands. In some embodiments, a controller may triangulate a position associated with a source of a sound in order to detect a fake voice command. In a further embodiment, a controller may verify that a user or associated electronic device are near a smart device to authorize a voice command.
