The invention relates to a disc brake comprising a brake caliper () which covers a brake disc and brake pads () arranged on both sides of the brake disc in a pad shaft (), each brake pad being assembled from a friction lining () and a rear plate (), the front face of which is designed as a securing surface () for the friction lining () and the rear face of which is designed as a pressure surface for transmitting the braking pressure. A hold-down device () which runs transversely over the brake pads () is supported against the brake pads () in the direction of the disc brake axis (A). The hold-down device () is made from an elongated base (C) in the form of a channel over the majority of the total length of the hold-down device, wherein a spring () rests against said base, and from lateral flanks (A,B) arranged on the sides of the base (C). The aim of the invention is to solve the problem of the structural narrowness between the components of the disc brake and the vehicle wheel rotating about the brake. This is achieved in that the hold-down device () has an S-shaped offset () which adjoins the base (C) and an end portion () which adjoins the offset () towards the hold-down device end. The end portion () is equipped with a single- or double-part support surface (A), by means of which the hold-down device () is supported against one of the brake pads () on the rear face of the brake pad rear plate ().

A disc brake is proposed having a brake calliper () which reaches over a brake disc () and brake linings () which are arranged on the two sides thereof and are composed in each case of a friction lining () and a rear plate (), and having a hold-down () which runs transversely over the brake linings () and is supported against the brake linings towards the disc brake axis (A). The circumferential contour of the rear plate () of at least one of the brake linings is defined by an upper edge (), a lower edge () and two side edges (A,B) which extend between the upper and the lower edge. The circumferential contour of the friction lining () is also defined by an upper edge (), a lower edge and two side edges which extend between the upper and the lower edge. In order to make a contribution to the solution of the problem of the structural tightness between the components of the disc brake and the vehicle wheel which rotates around the brake, the main course of the upper edges (and) of the rear plate () and the friction lining () where the hold-down () runs over the brake lining () is interrupted by a recessed portion (and) of the upper edge (and) in the direction of the brake disc axis (A).

An axle suspension for a vehicle axle guided by a trailing arm and also, furthermore, an axle lift for a vehicle axle are proposed. The axle lift includes a force element (), a pressure transmission means () which is movable towards an axle link () of the vehicle axle by actuation of the force element, and a bracket (). The bracket () is provided with a supporting means () for the force element () and the pressure reaction forces acting on the latter and, in addition, for the fastening to a support () is provided with a bracket part (), on which a plug-in or hook connection (A) for engagement in the support () is formed. With the aim of being able to fit the bracket () in a fixed basic setting on the support () with just a few actions, it is proposed that the bracket part (), at a distance from the plug-in or hook connection (A) thereof, is provided with at least one further connecting means (), which is designed for engagement in the support ().
