A pin tool member and clip installation system including the same is disclosed herein. The pin tool member and the clip installation system are configured to facilitate the installation of a clip member on a shaft. The pin tool member includes a body portion with a tapered section and a cylindrical section, the cylindrical section being attached to the tapered section at a largest diameter portion of the tapered section, the cylindrical section having a substantially constant diameter that is generally equal to the diameter of the pin tool member at the largest diameter portion of the tapered section; and a shaft engagement portion attached to the body portion of the pin tool member, the shaft engagement portion configured to substantially align a longitudinal axis of the body portion with a central axis of a shaft. The clip installation system includes the pin tool member and a tubular pusher member.

A rear aperture sight for use in conjunction with a front sight post sight on a rifle. The front sight post has a horizontal top edge and vertical side edges. The rear aperture sight comprises a rear sight adapted to be mounted on the rifle. The rear sight has a horizontally elongated aperture formed therein having height and width dimensions. The width dimension is greater than the height dimension. The height dimension is of such a value that the aperture is adapted to cause the horizontal top edge of the front sight post and a horizontal edge of a target to be sharply focused. The width dimension is of such a value that the aperture is adapted to permit a sufficient amount of light to pass through the aperture so that the front sight post and the target are bright.

The invention provides a three-dimensional structure having at least one structure surface, the structure being adapted to be attached to an apertured surface with the structure surface facing the apertured surface; and a curved hook element having a base and a distal end, the distal end of the hook element being adapted for insertion into an aperture in the apertured surface, and the base of the curved hook element being slidably affixed to the structure surface of the three-dimensional structure such that movement of the base is constrained along a line within the structure surface. The device can be used in a method of attachment onto an apertured surface, in particular the inner surface of an automatic laundry washing machine drum, and is particularly suitable for dispensing rinse additives into the rinse cycle of an automatic washing machine.

Attachment means

Disclosed are systems, methods, devices and kits for sequentially dispensing laundry additive materials into the drum of an automatic washing machine as that machine is used to carry out a fabric laundering operation. To bring about such dispensing of additives, a lidded housing structure is placed within the drum of an automatic washing machine, a multi-compartmented insert, containing different laundry additives in each compartment, is placed within the lidded housing structure, the lid is closed and the machine is run through the several stages of its laundering cycle. Means are provided to open at least one compartment of the insert upon closing of the housing structure lid, thereby dispensing the contents of that opened compartment into the washing machine drum as wash additive materials. Additional means are also provided to open additional compartments of the insert later in the laundering cycle to dispense contents of those additional compartments into the washing machine drum as rinse additive materials. The means for opening such additional compartments of the insert are activated by centrifugal force arising during the spin cycle of the laundering operation.

Sequential dispensing of laundry additives during automatic machine laundering of fabrics

A dispensing apparatus for use with a replaceable unit dose package has at least one cavity sealed by a membrane, wherein the cavity contains additive materials to be dispensed. The dispensing apparatus is configured for use, for example, in a washing machine, wherein the washing machine has a plurality of cycles. The dispensing apparatus comprises a dispensing director having a dispensing signal generator and a monitor for distinguishing among a plurality of washing machine operating cycles. The dispensing apparatus further includes an actuator in communication with said dispensing director and configured to selectively electromechanically open the membrane in response to a dispensing signal, thereby releasing additive materials from said at least one cavity. Also disclosed is a disposable unit dose package for use in a washing machine and with a dispensing apparatus having a dispensing director and an electromechanical actuator in communication with said dispensing director. Still further disclosed is a kit, system, and method of dispensing laundry additive materials into a rotating washing machine having a drum.

Selective dispensing apparatus

Disclosed are systems, methods, devices and kits for the timed dispensing of laundry rinse additive materials into the drum of an automatic washing machine as that machine is used to carry out a fabric laundering operation. To bring about such dispensing of rinse additives, a housing structure device is placed within the drum of an automatic washing machine, a unit dose insert package, containing laundry rinse additives in at least one compartment of the insert, is placed within the housing structure, and the machine is run through the several stages of its laundering cycle. Means are provided to open at least one rinse additive-containing compartment of the insert later in the laundering cycle to dispense contents of this compartment into the washing machine drum as rinse additive materials. The means for opening such compartments of the insert are activated by centrifugal force arising during the spin cycle of the laundering operation. This spin cycle centrifugal force also holds the contents of the opened insert compartment(s) within the structure until the rinse cycle of the laundering operation, whereupon those contents are dispensed from the housing structure into the washing machine drum.
