Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select, from an available resource pool, one or more resources for transmitting a packet on a channel. The UE may determine that a new shared channel occupancy time (COT) has been initiated on the channel. The UE may adapt at least one resource of the one or more resources for transmitting the packet based at least in part on determining that the new shared COT has been initiated. Channel occupancy time sharing aware resource selection for unlicensed CV2X communications

To facilitate efficient LBT sidelink sensing procedures, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided. An example method of a sidelink wireless device includes initiating an LBT sidelink sensing procedure including initiating an LBT timer to run for at least a minimum sensing duration in a channel. The example method further includes detecting one or more signals in the channel during the LBT side link sensing procedure. The example method further includes allowing the LBT timer to continue to run.

LBT procedure for sidelink operations in unlicensed bands

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a time offset for synchronization signal resources for synchronization signals associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may determine the synchronization signal resources and a synchronization periodicity based on the indication and a penetration ratio of UEs associated with the first RAT. The UE may selectively transmit the synchronization signals on the synchronization signal resources and according to the synchronization periodicity. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine that other synchronization signal resources are allocated for a second RAT and may select resources for communications associated with the first RAT based on determining that the other synchronization signal resources are allocated. The UE may perform communications associated with the first RAT based on selecting the resources.

Resource sharing between sidelink devices using different radio access technologies

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a first UE determines a set of resources for transmission of one or more sidelink PRSs. The first UE transmits a sidelink control message to reserve the set of resources for the transmission of the one or more sidelink PRSs. In another aspect, the second UE may receive the sidelink control message, and may (e.g., transmit and/or receive/measure) the one or more PRSs in accordance with the sidelink control message. In another aspect, a third UE may receive the sidelink control message, and may determine whether a transmission by the third UE on some or all of the set of resources is permitted based on the sidelink control message.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) using a first radio access technology (RAT) may transmit a channel reservation preamble of a second RAT (e.g., a Wi-Fi preamble) that provides an indication to devices of the second RAT that the UE has obtained a shared channel for a channel occupancy time (COT). The UE may determine a start time of the channel reservation preamble relative to a start time of a first symbol of a transmission slot based at least in part on a time duration of the first symbol. The channel reservation preamble may reserve multiple slots or a single slot. A UE transmitting on two or more sub-channels may transmit a preamble on one of the sub-channels or on each of the sub-channels.

Systems and methods for detecting a body part like a human hand near a base station or a user equipment are disclosed. A plurality of radar pulses is transmitted from a communication device in succession and the reflected plurality of radar pulses is received sampled and adaptively processed to remove transmit and receive antenna mutual coupling and clutter from stationary objects near the body part. In one aspect the adaptive processing is accomplished with a single tap adaptive filter. The processed signal may be used to determine if there is a human body part near the communication device allowing the device to determine whether it is safe for the device to transmit a millimeter wave communication signal.

In some aspects, a sidelink transmitting (Tx) mobile station may perform a sub-band channel access in candidate frequency resources of an unlicensed band for a sidelink positioning reference signal (PRS) transmission to occur in time resources. The Tx may transmit, from the sidelink Tx mobile station to a sidelink receiving (Rx) mobile station, the sidelink PRS transmission in one or more sub-bands of the unlicensed band that have passed the sub-band channel access. Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for channel and/or resource selection for sidelink communications. In some cases, a transmitter user equipment UE may transmit, on a sidelink channel used for communicating with other UEs, a control message indicating at least one range, monitor for feedback associated with detection of the control message by one or more other UEs within the indicated range, and transmit data if the feedback indicates at least that the sidelink channel is free.

In some aspects, a user equipment may generate a pseudorandom noise (PN) sequence, modulate the PN sequence based at least in part on a modulation order parameter, and transmit the PN sequence in one or more symbols prior to transmitting sidelink data. The one or more symbols used to transmit the PN sequence may be used for automatic gain control (AGC) training at a receiving device.
