A resistance annealing furnace for annealing a metal wire, strand, string, wire rod or strap having at least two electric axes provided with respective pulleys to convey the metal wire and a DC voltage generator suppliable with an AC voltage to generate an annealing voltage applied between the two electric axes so as to provoke the annealing due to Joule effect. The DC voltage generator has active supplying means supplied with the AC voltage so as to generate an intermediate DC voltage, a pulse width modulator to transform the intermediate voltage into a first PWM voltage with the same amplitude, a voltage transformer to transform the first PWM voltage into a second PWM voltage with a smaller amplitude, and a voltage rectifier stage to transform the second PWM voltage into the annealing voltage.

Resistance annealing furnace to anneal a metal wire, strand, string, wire rod or strap

A resistance annealing furnace for annealing a metal wire, strand, string, wire rod or strap having at least two electric axes, which are provided with respective pulleys for conveying the metal wire, and DC voltage generator means suppliable by an AC voltage source to generate an annealing voltage applied between the two electric axes. The DC voltage generator means has a first voltage rectifier stage connectable to the AC voltage source to generate an intermediate DC voltage, an active power filter, connected so as to compensate the current harmonics at the input of the first voltage rectifier stage, a pulse width modulator to transform the intermediate voltage into a first PWM voltage, a voltage transformer to transform the first PWM voltage into a corresponding second PWM voltage, and second voltage rectifier means to transform the second modulated PWM voltage into the annealing voltage.

A two-stage rotary compressor for gas, in particular air. The compressor comprises a bottom plate and a head enclosing between them two compression stages. The compressor is characterized in that an interconnection device is arranged between the two compression stages, said device being suited to establish a communication 'in series' or 'in parallel', to be selected by the manufacturer, between said two compression stages.

Method for implementing a correct winding of a wire on a spool (). The method also comprises a step for calculating the angular speed of a motor () displacing the wire dispensing device () according to the wire winding step and according to the dancer error, detected by a position sensor () that provides an analogical signal with respect to a zero position and to a tolerance value, in order to determine the presence of a possible 'valley error', or of a possible 'peak error'. In this method, if during the spool winding, a &#x201c;valley error&#x201d; or a &#x201c;peak error&#x201d; is detected, the control device decides whether to slow down or to increase the speed of the wire dispensing device () with the aim of filling the depression or skipping the peak.

Method for implementing a correct winding of a wire on a spool

A machine for making gears. The machine comprises a piece-holder unit and an operating unit equipped with an operating head provided with at least one tool for machining a piece. Moreover, one piece-holder unit and the operating unit are provided with relative motion with respect to each another in a direction. The machine is characterized in that the operating unit is suitable to move, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction, and in that the tool is mounted on a slide provided with a tangential motion defined by a direction.

Working machine for making gears

An article sortation system includes a plurality of transport units which are movable along a conveying path between induction stations and discharge stations along each side of the conveying path. Each transport unit has side by side loading and support capability and is operable to receive packages from induction stations and discharge the packages at an appropriate discharge station. The system includes a control which determines the destination of articles and resolves blocking conditions between articles at the induction stations or at the transport units. The system may include a reinduction station for receiving an article from a transport unit and reinducting the article onto a transport unit, in order to resolve a blocking condition between a pair of articles on the respective transport unit.

Article sortation system

A sortation system and method of inducting product are useful with a sorter having a continuous member defining a plurality of transport positions of the continuous member and a plurality of sort destinations for receiving product discharged from the continuous member. At least one induction unit is provided including a plurality of tandem conveying units. Product is received with the at least one induction unit from a product source and discharged from the at least one induction unit to the continuous member. The invention is useful with carousel sorters, such as tilt-tray sorters and cross-belt sorters.

High rate induction system

The invention relates to a sorting conveyor provided with tilting bowls consisting of trucks coupled to each other and transporting carrying bowls which are tilted to an unloading position by a rotary drive arranged on the truck. The rotary drive is connected by a free lower end to a swinging lever which extends downwards and rotates around a pivot axis on the truck. The lever carries the bowl by an opposite top end thereof. The rotary drive is fixed to the free lower end of the swinging lever and is provided with an electric motor.

Sorting conveyor provided with tilting bowls

A sortation system and method of inducting product are useful with a sorter having a continuous member defining a plurality of transport positions of the continuous member and a plurality of sort destinations for receiving product discharged from the continuous member. At least one induction unit is provided including a plurality of tandem conveying units. Product is received with the at least one induction unit from a product source and discharged from the at least one induction unit to the continuous member. According to one aspect of the invention, the at least one induction unit follows the speed of the continuous member. This includes starting as soon as the continuous member is moving and decreasing in speed substantially only when the continuous member decreases in speed. The invention is useful with linear sorters, such as positive displacement sorters, and the like. The invention is also useful with carousel sorters, such as tilt-tray sorters and cross-belt sorters.

A conveyor system, and method of controlling the conveyor system, includes providing a conveying surface, at least one motor propelling the conveying surface and a plurality of lower-level controllers. At least one of the lower-level controllers adapted to control the at least one motor. An upper-level controller is provided in communication with the plurality of lower-level controllers. The upper-level controller is adapted to send communications to the lower-level controllers for controlling the at least one motor. A communications bus is provided that carries the communications between the upper-level controller and the lower-level controllers. The upper-level controller is adapted to automatically assign each lower-level controller a unique communications address. The unique communications address enables the upper-level controller to send messages over the communications bus to individual ones of the lower-level controllers.

Integrated conveyor bed

A conveyor system includes a conveyor frame, at least one motor at the frame and a control circuit at the frame. The motor is configured to cause articles placed in at least one location on the conveyor system to be transported when the motor is energized. A first power source is housed within the frame and in electrical communication with the at least one motor. The first power source supplies power to the at least one motor. A second power source is also housed within the frame and in electrical communication with the control circuit. The second power source supplies power to the control circuit. The second power source is electrically isolated from the first power source such that electrical current from the first power source can be shut off without shutting off electrical current from the second power source.
