Thermosetting, thermoplastic or elastomeric polymer compositions having and exhibiting conductive properties comprising from about 0.00005 to 20% by weight of a crystalline compound selected from substituted or unsubstituted aquocyanophthalocyaninatocobalt cyanide and aquocyanophthalocyaninatoiron(III).

Polymer compositions

Novel thermosetting resin compositions comprise (1) a polyalcohol produced by reduction of a low molecular weight linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon and (2) a polyfunctional curing agent. The compositions are cured upon application of heat to cured, crosslinked compositions useful as coatings.

Resin compositions

Novel thermosetting resins are produced from low molecular weight linear alternating polymers of carbon monoxide and a suitable curing agent. The resin compositions are particularly useful as coatings.

Linear alternating polymers of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon are produced in the presence of novel catalyst compositions formed from a palladium salt, the anion of a non-hydrohalogenic acid having a pKa less than 2 and a bidentate ligand having one atom of phosphorous and one atom of sulfur or selenium.

Polymerization process

The invention is a process for preparing a polymer which comprises contacting dicyclopentadiene with a catalyst comprising a phenolic substituted tungsten halide and a trialkyltin hydride or triphenyltin hydride and recovering said polymer. The invention is also a polymer of dicyclopentadiene as prepared in the process of the invention and a catalyst used in the process of the invention to prepare said polymer.
