An exhaust gas heater for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes a carrier arrangement and a heat conductor arrangement which is carried on the carrier arrangement and which has at least one heat conductor through which current flows. At least one heat conductor is carried with respect to the carrier arrangement via at least one carrier arrangement support unit in an electrically insulated manner. At least one carrier arrangement support unit includes a carrier arrangement support element having a curved support face.

Exhaust gas heater

An exhaust gas heater for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes a carrier arrangement, a heating-conductor arrangement, carried on the carrier arrangement and having at least one heating conductor through which a current flows with at least one heating conductor being carried in an electrically insulated manner with respect to the carrier arrangement by at least one carrier-element supporting unit and/or with at least one heating conductor being carried in an electrically insulated manner with respect to a further heating conductor by at least one heating-conductor supporting unit. A connecting arrangement securely connects the heating-conductor arrangement to the carrier arrangement and also a length-compensating arrangement for compensating for different thermal expansions of components of the exhaust gas heater.

A probe carrier arrangement, especially for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a probe socket () provided at a probe carrier body (). The probe socket () has at least one insert-receiving opening () extending in a direction of an insert-receiving opening longitudinal axis (E). An exhaust muffler for transverse installation in a vehicle includes a muffler housing () elongated in the direction of a housing longitudinal axis (G) with a housing jacket () and two front walls (). A thermoelectric module (), for converting thermal energy into electric energy, includes a plurality of leg pairs (), which have each a p-doped semiconductor leg () and an n-doped semiconductor leg (), which are contacted with one another electrically via metal bridges (). Thermoelectric module, heat exchanger, exhaust system and internal combustion engine

A heat exchanger, for an exhaust gas system () of an internal combustion engine (), includes a thermoelectric module (), converting thermal energy into electrical energy, having a hot side () and a cold side (). A cooling pipe (), for a cooling fluid, is arranged on the cold side () and a heating pipe () for a heating fluid, is arranged on the hot side (). The cooling pipe () and the heating pipe () are stacked with the thermoelectric module () in a stacking direction () and form a stack (). The heat transfer within the stack () is improved with at least one of the pipes () being curved toward the thermoelectric module () at an outer pipe face () and with the thermoelectric module () curved toward the pipe () at an outer module face () facing the particular pipe ().

The present invention relates to a component () for a motor vehicle (), particularly an exhaust system, which can be fastened to a carrier () of the motor vehicle () by means of at least one fixture (), with a component housing () comprising a housing wall (), wherein the respective fixture () comprises at least one holder () having an inner leg () extending parallel to the housing wall () and an outer leg () standing away from the housing wall () to the outside. The fatigue strength of the fixture () can be improved if the housing wall () comprises a passage opening (), through which the outer leg () protrudes, while the inner leg () areally bears against the housing wall () in the interior () of the component housing ().

Vehicle component

The present invention relates to a heat transfer device, more preferably for an exhaust system of a combustion engine, preferentially of a motor vehicle, with at least one warm tube for conducting a fluid emitting heat, with at least one cold tube for conducting a fluid absorbing heat and with at least one thermoelectric generator for generating electric energy from a temperature difference, wherein a thermoelectric generator each is arranged between a warm tube and a cold tube. The efficiency of the heat transfer device is improved if the respective thermoelectric generator is in contact with the respective tube via a heat conducting material and if the respective heat conducting material is configured as shaped body.

Heat transfer device and manufacturing method

The present invention relates to an exhaust system component () for an exhaust system of a combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, with a housing () having at least one housing wall (), which separates an interior space () of the housing () exposed to an internal pressure (Pi) during the operation of the exhaust system from a surroundings () surrounding the housing () and having an ambient pressure (Pu). In order to improve the durability of the component () even with small wall thicknesses, at least one stiffening element () can be provided, which is fastened to and arranged on the housing () such that it counteracts an internal pressure (Pi) that is above the ambient pressure (Pu) induced by the deformation of the housing wall ().

Exhaust system component

A mass damper method includes providing an electroactive polymer () and using the electroactive polymer () to manufacture a mass damper (). The mass damper () for damping a vibrating system of a motor vehicle includes at least one of a damping body () forming a countervibrating mass with a damping spring () and a springy damping body () forming the countervibrating mass. The damping body () is indirectly or directly coupled with the vibrating system. The springy damping body () or the damping spring () includes an electroactive polymer (). A motor vehicle exhaust system of an internal combustion engine is provided including an exhaust gas line () with an exhaust pipe (), an exhaust gas-treating device () integrated in the exhaust pipe and the mass damper () coupled with the exhaust gas line.

The present invention relates to a housing () with a jacket (), enclosing a housing interior space () in circumferential direction (). For reducing self-induced vibrations of the jacket (), at least one preloading device () is proposed, which is arranged in the housing interior space (), which supports itself on a first supporting region () of the jacket () on the inside of the jacket () subject to a first preload () orientated towards the outside and which supports itself on a second supporting region () of the jacket () spaced from the first supporting region () on the jacket () on the inside subject to a second preload () orientated towards the outside.
