A security pouch for carrying confidential documents or other valuables from a sending to a remote receiving station, the pouch being adapted to inform its receiver whether at some point in the course of transit, the pouch had been intercepted and opened and then reclosed. The pouch is provided with closure means, a locking mechanism which when locked engages the closure means and secures the documents within the pouch, and an electronic module operatively coupled to this mechanism. The electronic module includes a random number generator, an elapsed time measuring unit and an LCD display to present the number and the elapsed time. When at the sending station, the sender locks the pouch containing the documents, this action triggers the generator to produce and display a random number. And it also resets the elapsed time unit which then proceeds to count time. Normally, when the pouch arrives at the receiving station, the module then displays the same random number, thereby assuring the receiver that the pouch had not been intercepted in the course of transit. But if at some point in this course, the pouch was intercepted and unlocked to obtain access to the documents and then relocked, then when the pouch arrives at the receiving station, the random number then displayed does not match that produced at the sending station. And the elapsed time then displayed indicates the time that had elapsed from the time of interception, not from the sending time.

A soft hood and module assembly adapted to convert an open baker's rack loaded with pieces of yeast dough into a proofing chamber where the pieces are subjected to a hot humid air environment acting to raise these pieces prior to their baking. The module for generating hot humid air is placed in the base of the rack with its air inlet adjacent the front end of the rack and its outlet adjacent the rear end. The soft hood which is fabricated of flexible plastic sheeting encloses the rack to form a chamber having a feed duct parallel to the rear end of the rack which communicates with the module outlet, and a return duct parallel to the front end of the rack which communicates with the module inlet. In operation, hot, humid air blown out of the module outlet into the feed duct is distributed thereby to pass across the dough pieces supported by the rack into the return duct from which the air flows back into the inlet of the module for recirculation in the chamber to uniformly proof the pieces.

Soft hood and module dough-proofing assembly

A trolley and bag assembly adapted to transport hanger-hung garments on overhead rails from an initial point to other points, the bag protectively shrouding the transported garments. The trolley includes a pair of rolling sheaves that ride on the rails and a spaced pair of side arms depending from the sheaves to support a horizontal load bar onto which is hooked a set of hanger-hung garments. Bridging the side arms is a retractable hold-down bar which when raised above the load bar then permits the hangers to be hooked onto the load bar, and when lowered then clamps the hooks of the hangers so that the garments cannot be dislodged from the trolley.

A tamper-proof security ballot pouch adapted to store ballots deposited therein and to prevent their unauthorized removal. The pouch includes a fabric bag in whose upper section is sewn a pair of parallel rods defining an entry slot to admit one ballot at a time. Depending from the upper section is a fabric chute creating a narrow open channel between the entry slot and the bag interior whereby a ballot inserted in the entry slot must pass through the channel before being deposited in the bag. Because the chute is flexible, when a ballot is inserted in the entry slot and advances into the narrow channel of the chute it then straightens out the chute, so that the channel is then in axial alignment with the entry slot. But once the ballot is deposited in the bag, its unauthorized exit through the entry slot is prevented by the chute, for regardless of how the pouch is manipulated, the deposited ballot cannot back track through the channel.

Security ballot pouch

A flexible-wall lockable container for securing valuables. The lockable container includes a container and a locking member. The container includes an interior portion, an access opening, and a closure member. The closure member has an open position permitting access to the interior portion of the container, and a closed position where the closure member closes the access opening. The locking member includes a body and a retainer member slidably attached to the body. The retainer member has a locked position with respect to the body for locking the closure member in the closed position and an unlocked position for allowing the closure member to move between the closed and open positions. The body includes a receiver having two lower lugs extending from the receiver. The retainer member includes a flange having two upper lugs extending from the flange. When the retainer member is in the locked position, a portion of the closure member is positioned between the sides of the lugs to inhibit the portion of the closure member from moving with respect to the upper and lower lugs.

Lockable container for securing valuables

A flexible-walled security container has an opening provided with a fastener slidable along edges of the opening and a locking mechanism to releasably retain the slider in a position closing the container. The locking mechanism includes a body supporting a receiver with a recess in an upper surface thereof to receive the slider and a retainer closable on the received slider. Lugs at one end of the recess prevent slide removal of the slider. Gaps are formed along the upper surface between the lugs and a supporting wall of the body. A clip is provided to snap onto the receiver. Arms of the clip cover the gaps between the lugs and the supporting wall of the body. The clip is configured to conform closely to the receiver so as not to protrude discernably into the container.

Flexible-walled security containers

A combination of a lockable container and a support rack on which the lockable container can be positioned and locked for later retrieval. The lockable container includes an interior portion, an access opening and a closure member positioned thereon. The closure member has an open position permitting access to the interior portion of the container through the access opening, and a closed position where the closure member closes the access opening such that the interior of the container is not accessible. A support rack and/or securing bar is provided for lockably receiving the lockable container. A flexible, endless cable is positioned about the securing bar such that the flexible, endless cable is secured to the securing bar. The cable is further positionable within a closed through aperture between a locking member and the flexible cover member on the lockable container for securing the lockable container to the securing bar and/or support rack.

A seal for use with a container having a flexible gusset sheet or the like including a pair of slide fastener runner tapes, releasably interengageable grippers on the tapes, a slider moveable along the tapes toward one end thereof for interengaging the grippers and in the opposite direction for releasing the grippers, a slider pull or tab carried by the slider, a cover configured to conformably cover the slider pull when the grippers are closed, the cover being mounted to the sheet for movement into and out of its covering relation to the slider pull, and registerable openings in the slider pull and cover for receiving therethrough a sealing shackle when the grippers are interengaged.

A reusable transit container or bag having an opening or mouth provided with a slide fastener, a message holding pocket on one side of the bag adjacent to one end of the slide fastener, and a closure tie having one end anchored on the opposite side of the bag and swingable over the slide fastener in the closed condition of the latter for detachable securement across the pocket to effectively retain the slide fastener in position and a message in the pocket.
