Provided is a radar and light emission assembly for emitting light and radar radiation and for detecting at least reflected radar radiation including: a headlight including a light-transparent headlight cover, and a light source, and a light reflector; a radar module, which is arranged behind the headlight cover, integrated in the headlight and including a radar antenna unit. The radar and light emission assembly has at least one radar radiation-forming mechanism, in particular a frequency-selective radar radiation-forming mechanism, including a radar radiation-forming mechanism, which is integrated in the headlight cover. The application of the radar technology, integrated in the headlight, can be further optimized hereby. The invention further relates to a method and a use for a radar and light emission assembly of this type.

A method is disclosed for joining two components (), a first component (I) and a second component (), in the region of a joint zone by means of at least one laser beam. In a first phase, the first component (I) is melted, and a melt lens is formed in the first component (I) from the molten material (). In a second phase, at least one pressure pulse is applied to the melt in the direction of the second component () until the melt lens is deflected into the joint gap as a result of the pressure pulse, bridges the joint gap, and comes into contact with the second component (), and energy is transmitted to the second component () as a result of the melt lens coming into contact with the second component. A temperature curve results in the second component () as a result of the energy transmission such that the melting temperature is reached on the upper face of the second component (), and a melt film is formed. The heat penetration depth is set such that a damaging temperature which damages the second component () is not exceeded at a specified depth. A laser processing apparatus includes: a laser generator that generates a laser beam, a diffractive optical element that divides the laser beam generated by the laser generator into a plurality of sub-laser beams, and a beam gap adjustor that adjusts a gap between neighboring ones of the plurality of sub-laser beams. Therefore, by installing a diffractive optical element that divides a laser beam that is generated by the laser generator into the plurality of sub-laser beams and a beam gap adjustor to adjust a gap between a plurality of sub-laser beams, the laser processing apparatus can form a processing pattern of various resolutions in a shadow mask while improving a processing speed of the shadow mask.

A laser processing apparatus includes a laser generator for generating laser beams, a diffraction optic element for dividing the laser beam generated by the laser generator into a plurality of sub-laser beams, and a beam number controller for controlling the number of the plurality of sub-laser beams. Accordingly, the diffractive optic element that splits a laser beam generated by the laser beam generator into a plurality of sub-laser beams and the beam number controller that controls the number of sub-laser beams are provided so that the processing speed of a processing target can be improved and, at the same time, the number of laser beams can be promptly controlled, thereby promptly forming various patterns of the processing target.

A device for drilling and for removing material using a laser beam comprises: a rotating image rotator (); a beam manipulator () which, when viewed in the beam direction, is arranged in front of the image rotator and which serves to adjust the angle and position of the beam relative to the rotation axis of the image rotator; and a focusing device () located on the output side of the image rotator. A compensating device () is placed between the image rotator and the focusing device and rotates with the image rotator in the same direction of rotation and with the same rotational frequency. The compensating device has a parallel displacement unit () and an angle changing unit (), and the compensating device, in a basic setting, is adjustable in its rotating position relative to the image rotator.

A method of producing a welding seam with a single laser pulse, the laser pulse and the work piece being moved relative to each other at a high velocity. This results in the length of the welding seam formed being primarily the product of pulse duration of the laser pulse and the relative velocity of work piece and laser pulse. The invention also relates to a method in which the work piece moved at high velocity relative to the laser beam is subjected along the welding seam to be formed to repeated applications of a single laser pulse. In that case the length of the welding seam is defined principally of the product of pulse duration of the laser pulse and the relative velocity of the work piece and laser pulse divided by the number of applications.
