A diversified glucose sensor system comprises an introducer needle and two or more independent sensor bodies, each sensor body having one or more sensing elements that can be subcutaneously positioned in a patient's body by insertion of the introducer needle for glucose measurement. The system further includes a progressive insertion device comprising an insertion shaft that pushes the sensor bodies out the end opening of the introducer needle to a desired depth in the patient prior to removal of the insertion shaft and the introducer needle. The sensor bodies are bent or folded and held under stress within the introducer needle for insertion, and released and biased outwardly when pushed out of the introducer needle. The sensing elements are anchored and disposed within the patient at positions providing X/Y/Z-axis diversity for measurement.

Diversified glucose sensor system

An Improved Roadway Guidance System provides guidance elements in a roadway as means to guide a vehicle along the roadway, as well as supply important information to the vehicle to enhance the autonomous operation of the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner. The system comprises at least three parts: (1) the use of overlaid roadway 'emitter strips' that provide an extended excitation/emission field simultaneous with direct guidance instructions to passing vehicles; (2) the use of a linearly-arranged antenna array system provided on the vehicle and adapted for interaction with the emitter strips for positionally locating the vehicle within a travel lane and providing additional informative data for operation of the vehicle; and (3) the use of a multi-port Receiver Unit that works with the antenna array and the host vehicle's guidance system to optimize autonomous operation of the vehicle.

Roadway guidance system

A wireless charging system for a vehicle and a method of operating is provided. The system includes a vehicle having a floor pan disposed opposite a ground surface. At least one battery is provided that is configured to provide energy to the vehicle. At least one power receiving coil is electrically coupled to the at least one battery and arranged within a housing adjacent the floor pan opposite the ground surface.

Conformal charging system

A controller and associated multi-axis sensor system for augmenting the automatic intelligent delivery of one or more drugs is provided. The controller and associated multi-axial sensor system are based on the detection and determination of particular physical lifestyle events. As a specific example, a pump augmentation system includes a six-axis accelerometer sensor, a gyroscopic pitch sensor and a controller. The controller is configured to receive motion data from the six-axis accelerometer sensor and orientation data from the gyroscopic pitch sensor. The controller provides a pump instruction signal for changing a delivery rate of a drug to a user based on the motion data and the orientation data. The system and methods are particularly suited for treating a user with Parkinson's disease.

Intelligent drug delivery system

A vehicle having a system operably connected to a personal medical device includes an indicator device having at least one of an audio device or visual indicator device, a medical device display interface coupled to communicate with the personal medical device, and a controller operably coupled to the medical device display interface and the indicator device. The controller is operable to receive a signal including data regarding status of the medical device or a component thereof from the medical device display interface and activate the indicator device in response to the signal.

Vehicle medical device interface system

The present application is directed to an Autonomous Vehicle Enhancement System (AVES) and method for monitoring and managing a virtual or existing fleet of autonomous vehicles in a transportation network and dispatching the autonomous vehicles to users. The AVES includes an AVES Central Operations Center (COC) that communicates with AVES vehicle equipment installed in the autonomous vehicles and AVES applications installed on computing devices accessible by the users. The AVES improves the operating efficiency of a transportation network by monitoring the condition of autonomous vehicles, optimizing the geographical distribution of the autonomous vehicles and optimizing assignment of the autonomous vehicles to users requesting services. The AVES COC monitors and controls the autonomous vehicles via the AVES vehicle equipment. The AVES COC communicates with the users via the AVES applications to provide services to the users. The AVES vehicle equipment and the AVES applications installed on the computing devices communicate with each other to fulfill user request for services.

Central operations center for autonomous vehicle enhancement system

An autonomous vehicle is equipped with a beacon, preferably including a transmitter and receiver, or a transceiver, for bi-directional communication, which is programmed to interact with other beacons for the exchange of contextual travel information to assist in autonomous operation of the vehicle. Beacons may be stationary and positioned along a roadway such that a signal transmitted by such a stationary beacon can be received by a passing beacon-equipped vehicle, the operation of which can be adjusted depending on instructions received from the stationary beacon. The vehicle can also transmit information to the stationary beacon, which information can be used to assess traffic conditions to thereafter adjust information and alerts sent to other beacon-equipped vehicles. Beacons located within multiple vehicles may also interact to share information that may be used by individual vehicles to adjust or maintain the autonomous operation of the vehicle.

Wrong way mitigation system

An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.

Airborne pathogen extraction system

A vehicle charging system having a ground assembly is provided. The system includes a first transmitting coil at a first position and is configured to move a first charging field location in a first direction and a second direction. A second transmitting coil is provided at a second position spaced apart from the first position, the second transmitting coil being configured to move a second charging field in the first direction and second direction. A controller is operably coupled to the first transmitting coil and the second transmitting coil. The controller is configured to selectively energize at least one of the first transmitting coil or the second transmitting coil in response to receiving a signal. The controller is further operable to move a position of the at least one of the first charging field and the second charging field in response to the signal.

Vehicle self-centered charging system

A continuous blood glucose monitoring system and method measures emitted microwave energy transmitted to and accepted by blood vessels in a desired target area of a patient in order to determine, in real time and in vivo, appropriate blood glucose levels. A measurement unit comprises a transmitter operatively connected to an antenna to deliver energy towards appropriate subcutaneous blood vessels. The measurement unit determines an accepted energy power value in the blood vessels associated with the desired target area. This measurement energy power value is compared with a calibration value, and the difference is used to determine a resultant blood glucose value. The determined blood glucose value may further be acclimatized using additional sensed values compensating for biological and ambient factors relevant to the patient. The final determined blood glucose value can be displayed for reading and/or transmitted and stored for recording for further reference.

Blood glucose tracking system

A visual sonic conduit locator includes a conduit size audio filter control, sensitivity control, and one or more visual indicators. The conduit size audio filter control is configured to optimize to the size of the conduit of interest. The sensitivity control is configured to detect a target sound and alter the amount of the target sound to that of a visual display level. The visual display level is represented by visual indicators. The visual indicators are configured to visually display a received audio level detected by the locator.

A dynamic positioning control system having a transparent or semi-transparent substrate, an image processor, and one or more image-generating elements operatively connected to the image processor configured to simultaneously generate a plurality of images within an overall image-generating-capable field area of the substrate is provided. A dynamic positioning control system having a transparent or semi-transparent substrate, a dimming controller, and a plurality of electrodes operatively connected to the dimming controller configured to dim one or more areas on or within the substrate within an overall electrochromic dimming-capable field area is also provided. The image processor and the dimming controller may be separate elements or may be a single controller.
