The light stability of a color photographic silver halide material is improved if, as UV protection, a) a TiO.sub.2 pigment having a primary particle diameter of 1 to 100 nm is added to one layer and b) a hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole compound and/or a hydroxyphenyltriazine compound is added to the same or a different layer of the material.

TiO.sub.2 containing iron oxide having an average primary particle diameter of 1 to 100 nm and an iron oxide content of 0.5 to 20 wt. % is suitable as a UV absorber for photographic materials.

The storage stability of photographic color images obtained by chromogenic development may be improved by compounds of the formula I, which are capable of reacting with primary amines, in particular color developer compounds (reagent for primary amines). The compounds of the formula may be added to the color photographic recording material or to a treatment bath downstream from color development. Process for the production of a chromogenically developed color

By means of a development intensification process for processing color photographic silver halide materials, the silver halide emulsions of which contain more than 90 mol. % of AgCl and less than 0.8 g of silver halide per m.sup.2 (stated as the equivalent quantity of AgNO.sub.3), short processing times accompanied by stable replenishment rates are obtained if at least one compound of the formulae (I), (II) or (III) is used as the developer substance in a quantity of 0.002 to 0.04 mol/l of developer solution ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 to R.sub.3, R.sub.10 to R.sub.17, R.sub.21 to R.sub.23, m, n and Y have the meaning stated in the specification.

Processing of color photographic silver halide materials

A color photographic print material with the usual three different sensitized silver halide emulsion layers and at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing no color coupler (control layer) with a spectral sensitization range outside the sensitization range of the image-producing layers, wherein the control layer contains a substance A, which, on negative development of the silver halide emulsion used in the control layer (control emulsion), releases a compound B which alters the gradation of the image-producing layers, is usable as a print material with variable gradation.
