A method for evaluating images and, in particular, for evaluating correspondence hypotheses of images. The method includes (i) providing a hypothesis matrix of correspondence hypotheses between first and second images, each given as a corresponding image matrix, (ii) evaluating the hypothesis matrix and conditional verification of the image correspondence hypotheses and (iii) providing verified image correspondence hypotheses in a correspondence matrix of image correspondences as the evaluation result, the hypothesis matrix being evaluated by forming and evaluating a histogram with respect to the values of the component for each element of the hypothesis matrix for at least one component of correspondence hypotheses.

Method and device for evaluating images, operational assistance method and operating device

A method for ascertaining/mapping between a matrix element (ME) and a comparison ME (CME) of a comparison matrix (CM), including writing the ME position in a table element (TE) of a correspondence table (CT) for a number of MEs, and following a predefined offset, reading out a TE, ascertaining the ME position stored in the TE until the read for the same number of MEs has been performed, establishing a mapping from the TE's read-out position and a CME's current position. The writing includes reading out a ME feature, ascertaining an access feature (AF) from the ME feature, ascertaining a TE of the CT from the AF, and writing the ME position in the ascertained TE. The reading includes reading out a CME feature, ascertaining an AF from the CME, ascertaining a TE of the CT from the AF, and reading out the ME's stored position from the ascertained TE.

Correspondence search between matrix elements

A method for evaluating images and in particular for evaluating correspondences of images. The method includes (i) providing correspondences between given first and second images, (ii) providing a quality measure or a plurality of quality measures as attributes for characterizing a particular correspondence, (iii) evaluating and conditionally selecting the correspondences, (iv) providing selected correspondences as an evaluation result, the evaluation of correspondences being based on a combination of attributes and the selection of correspondences being based on a result of the evaluation.

Method and device for evaluating images, operating assistance method, and operating device

A radar sensor including an antenna array having multiple antenna elements situated next to one another and at least one feeding point at an outer antenna element. The antenna elements are connected in series via delay lines. The radar sensor has at least two transmitting and receiving units which are each suitable for generating and evaluating a radar signal at a predefined frequency. The at least two transmitting and receiving units are connected to a feeding point of the antenna array. The frequencies of the radar signals of the at least two transmitting and receiving units are predefinable independently of one another.

Radar sensor

An antenna has an antenna body having a plurality of first antenna elements, which are disposed along a first straight line. A hollow conductor, which extends between the first antenna elements, is disposed in the antenna body. The first antenna elements are developed as openings running between the hollow conductor and a surface of the antenna body. The antenna is designed to radiate a signal in a spatial direction that is a function of a frequency of the signal. The antenna body has an electrically insulating material that is coated with a conductive material.

Antenna

An antenna has an antenna body having a plurality of first antenna elements situated along a first straight line. The antenna body includes a first conductive grounded surface and a second conductive grounded surface, the first and second grounded surfaces being situated essentially parallel to one another. A dielectric is situated between the first and second grounded surfaces. A signal conductor is also situated between the first and second grounded surfaces. The first antenna elements are designed as apertures situated above the signal conductor in the first grounded surface. Furthermore, the antenna is designed to emit a signal in a direction in space, depending on a frequency of the signal. At least two of the first antenna elements differ from one another in such a way that their power emissions are different.

Scanning antenna

An FMCW radar locating device includes a transmitting device having a controllable transmitting-signal-generating device generating a transmitting signal having a frequency corresponding to an input control signal; a control device connected to the transmitting-signal-generating device and generating the input control signal which controls the transmitting signal such that it rises periodically in a discontinuous, inconsistent linear fashion in first frequency segments, and drops periodically in a discontinuous, inconsistent linear fashion in second frequency segments; and a receiving device for receiving an echo signal reflected by an object and locating an object based on the received echo signal.

In a method for checking the plausibility of objects in driver assistance systems for motor vehicles is described, two measured variables are derived from position data from two object position-finding systems of the vehicle that operate independently of one another, for an object located by the two position-finding systems, one variable for each position-finding system, these variables representing one and the same physical parameter, and the two measured variables are then checked for consistency, which is characterized by the fact that the parameter is the time to collision of the vehicle with the object, which is calculated in advance.
