A motor vehicle lighting module includes a housing which is made of a housing part and a circular or elliptical outer part secured thereto. The outer part is at least partly translucent and closes off the housing from the outside. The motor vehicle lighting module additionally has a plurality of light beam-emitting light sources which are received in the housing. The housing is equipped with a light guide system into which the light sources emit the light beams. The housing is additionally equipped with a facet body with an upper part, a girdle, and a lower part. The upper part of the facet body adjoins the outer part, and the lower part protrudes in the direction of the housing part. The light guide system additionally includes a first light guide and a second light guide.

Motor vehicle lighting module

An air flap for an air flap assembly for a vehicle front is provided. The air flap has a front face and a lateral face having a slotted guide system. The air flap blocks an air inlet in the vehicle front through the front face in a closed position and opens the air inlet in an open position. The air flap is rotatable from the closed position into the open position by a rotary movement about an axis of rotation by way of a driver of an actuator, which driver can be guided in the slotted guide system. The slotted guide system located on the lateral face of the air flap has a tapered portion, so that the slotted guide system and the driver have substantially no play in relation to one another in the region of the tapered portion.

A cross-member arrangement for a bumper assembly on a motor vehicle includes a first deformation element mounting and a second deformation element mounting, a forward cross-member profile, which is connected to each of the two deformation element mountings, a rear cross-member profile, which is connected to each of the two deformation element mountings. A bumper assembly for a battery-powered motor vehicle includes one deformation element for bracing the bumper assembly against a front end of the motor vehicle arranged on each side of a central longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle.

Cross-member arrangement for a battery-powered electric vehicle

A deformation device for attaching to a crossmember of a bumper and for converting impact energy onto a lighting device has at least two deformation elements arranged in series and orientated in the same direction. The deformation device also has a support element which can be secured to a crossmember of a bumper, wherein the at least two deformation elements are secured to the support element. Each deformation element has an unstructured, flat surface and is designed such that the deformation elements buckle due to a force acting in a first direction and bend due to a force acting in a second direction.

A support device of a front end module of a vehicle is provided for fastening the front end module to a vehicle structure. The support device has a frame component. The frame component is provided for attaching a bumper cover and/or a decorative grille and for attaching at least one sensor. The support device has at least one movement device by which the frame component can move relative to the vehicle structure. A vehicle includes the support device and a vehicle structure, wherein the support device is mounted on the vehicle structure via the at least one movement device so that, in the event of an impact at low speed, the support device moves in the direction of the vehicle structure and, after the impact, moves away from the vehicle structure again into its initial position.

A deformation structure has at least a first layer and a second layer, which are spaced apart from each other and are mounted to be movable relative to each other in the deformation direction or load direction. The first layer and the second layer have complementary protrusions and recesses, which are designed such that the protrusions of the first layer can dip into the recesses of the second layer and vice versa. The first layer and the second layer are connected to each other by deformable connecting pieces such that, in the event of a high impulse in the deformation direction, the protrusions of the first layer dip into the recesses of the second layer and the protrusions of the second layer dip into the recesses of the first layer such that the deformation structure is deformed in the deformation direction at a relatively low level of force and, in the event of a low impulse in the deformation direction, the protrusions of the first layer hit the protrusions of the second layer such that the deformation structure is deformed further in the deformation direction at a relatively high level of force. The deformation control device is formed or produced separately from the first and the second layer and is removably or non-removably connected to the first layer and the second layer.

An air inlet arrangement of a front fairing of a vehicle includes an air inlet element having at least one air inlet opening, and at least one adjustable air flap which is movable into an open position and into a closed position. The air flap in the open position opens up the air inlet opening and in the closed position closes the air inlet opening. The air flap is formed in two parts with two flap elements which are adjustable in an opposed manner.

A pedestrian protection device for a motor vehicle includes a crossbar and a deformation device which is arranged in front of the crossbar. The deformation device has bending limbs with ends which contact a surface or come into contact with the surface in the event of a collision of the motor vehicle and which are designed to be movable along the surface as a result of the collision, and a latching device is formed on the surface, said latching device being latchable with the ends of the bending limbs as a result of the collision. The deformation device has a plurality of such bending limbs, wherein a first bending limb and a second bending limb are arranged adjacently to each other, and the first bending limb and the second bending limb are offset relative to each other in the movement direction of the bending limbs and/or the end of the first bending limb and the end of the second bending limb are designed to be movable in opposite directions.

Pedestrian protection device for a motor vehicle

An energy absorption device for a bumper of a motor vehicle has a first deformation element on the front side of the bumper. The first deformation element is a foam shaped part which extends over the width of the bumper and has a density of from 20 to 50 g/l. At least one second deformation element, with a density which is at least 50 g/l higher than the first deformation element, is inserted into the first deformation element.

Energy absorption device

A motor vehicle has a container for receiving liquids arranged in a motor compartment of the motor vehicle in a space-saving manner. The two front end sections of the two front axle supports are connected together by two transverse supports, which are arranged at a distance from each other in the vehicle longitudinal direction, and the container for receiving liquids is arranged in the intermediate space between the two front axle supports.

An arrangement for absorbing kinetic energy acting on a front bumper of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, includes at least one pedestrian protection element which can be arranged on a cross member of the bumper, at least one absorption element which can be arranged on the cross member and is movable on the cross member in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to the cross member between a front absorption position and a rear release position, and at least one locking device which can be arranged on the cross member by which the absorption element can be temporarily arrested in the absorption position thereof. The absorption element, in the absorption position thereof, is switched parallel to the pedestrian protection element in respect of a force initiated by the kinetic energy into the bumper.

Arrangement for absorbing kinetic energy

Spring-and-damper assembly articulated at a front hood and body of a motor vehicle and has, in a cylinder, a gas pressure damper with a damping piston, a piston rod outwardly loaded by the gaseous medium through an axial opening in the cylinder and assists opening of the front hood. An actuator activated by a sensor device to adjust the front hood into a raised pedestrian protection position. The piston rod or the cylinder or a structural component part is axially adjustable relative to a supporting part supporting the assembly to be limited between stops. The structural component part or supporting part is a ball head supported in a joint socket or a joint head having a joint socket for a ball head connected at least indirectly to the piston rod or to the cylinder. The joint socket is formed so as to be groove-shaped in axial direction so that the ball head is axially adjustable in the joint socket in a limited manner.

Spring-and-damper assembly

A spring device at a swivelable hatch of a motor vehicle, having a gas spring and a helper spring between the body of the motor vehicle and the hatch. The hatch is a front hood which can be raised into a pedestrian protection position prior to an impact of a pedestrian on the front hood, by an actuator activated by a sensor device. The helper spring is preloaded with a preloading force which, in case of a malfunction in which the gas spring has no gas pressure or a reduced gas pressure, is sufficient to adjust the front hood into the raised pedestrian protection position and to hold the front hood in the raised pedestrian protection position prior to the impact.
