A snack food container for containing a snack food product. The snack food container includes a side wall, a bottom wall and a flange body. The side wall forms an upper opening. The bottom wall is connected to the side wall opposite the upper opening. The flange body extends downwardly from the bottom wall and defines an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface is configured for selective attachment to a separate beverage container. Finally, the snack food container defines an internal storage region for containing a snack food product. During use, the snack food container is assembled to a separate beverage container via the inner surface of the flange body. With this configuration, the snack food container can be used in conjunction with a beverage container for &ldquo;on-the-go&rdquo; storage and consumption.

Attachable snack food container

A thermoformed plastic food container for use in microwave heating. The container includes a bottom, a sidewall and a flange. The sidewall extends upwardly from the bottom, terminating at a top end. The flange extends from the sidewall opposite the bottom and includes a rim section and a return section. The rim section extends radially outwardly from the top end of the sidewall, and is curved in transverse cross-section. With this configuration, the rim section defines a radius in transverse cross-section. Further, an outer surface of the rim section is configured to receive a sealing film. Additionally, the rim section defines, in top plan view, at least one side that is longitudinally curved, preferably forming a convex curve relative to a central axis of the container. The return section extends from the rim section opposite the top end. More particularly, the return section extends generally downwardly relative to the rim section. The compound curve configuration of the flange resists deflection in response to a lifting force imparted at a single point on the flange. Thus, during use whereby a food item is contained with the container and heated, the container will not overtly deflect when a user lifts the container with a single hand.

A container (10) especially adapted for wedge shaped food products is disclosed including a transparent, thermoformed tray (11) receiving a paperboard product card (32) and sealed by a transparent closure layer (15). The tray (11) includes an isosceles trapezoid shaped bottom (16) and a sidewall (18) formed by a first, isosceles trapezoid shaped end (20), sides (24, 26) extending at an angle between an annular flange (12) and the bottom (16) from their upper edges to their lower edges and from their first end edges to their second end edges, a second trapezoid shaped end (22), and a triangular shaped corner panel (28). The product card (32) includes a bottom portion (34) of a size and shape for abutting with the bottom (16) of the tray (11) and end and side portions (36, 40) integrally connected to the bottom portion (34) about fold lines (38, 42) for abutting with the first end (20) and first side (24) of the tray (11). Printing on the outer surfaces of the product card (32) can be viewed through the bottom (16) and first end (20) and side (24) of the tray (11) while the interior of the tray (11) can be viewed through the second end (22) and side (26) and the corner panel (28) of the tray (11).
