A method is for isolation of a permeable zone in a subterranean well, wherein the well is provided with a pipe body. The method comprises lowering a perforation tool into the pipe body; forming holes in the pipe body along a longitudinal section; pumping a flushing fluid out through outlets in a flushing tool, into the pipe body and further out into an annulus; pumping a fluidized plugging material out through the flushing tool, into the pipe body and further out into the annulus; placing the fluidized plugging material along the longitudinal section so as to form a plug across the cross section of the well, whereby the plug fills the pipe body and the annulus; wherein at least one outlet in the flushing tool is angled non-perpendicularly relative to a longitudinal axis of the flushing tool, whereby a corresponding discharge jet also will be non-perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

Method for isolation of a permeable zone in a subterranean well

A method is for the combined perforation, cleaning, and the subsequent plugging of a longitudinal section of a well. The well is provided with two pipe bodies placed substantially concentrically. The method includes lowering a perforation tool into the innermost pipe body to the longitudinal section, forming perforations in both pipe bodies along the longitudinal section with the perforation tool, cleaning the longitudinal section with a flushing tool which is attached to a lower portion of a string allowing through-flow, pumping a fluidized plugging material down the string and into the innermost pipe body at the longitudinal section, and placing the fluidized plugging material in the innermost pipe body, and thereby also into the entire cross section of the well via the perforations within the longitudinal section. A flushing tool is for cleaning the longitudinal section of the well.

Method for combined cleaning and plugging in a well and flushing tool for flushing in a well

A method is for establishment of a new well path from a well. The method comprises disposing and anchoring a plug base in a casing in the well; lowering a perforation tool into the casing; forming holes in the casing along a longitudinal section; pumping a flushing fluid out through outlets in a flushing tool and into the casing and further out into an annulus; pumping a fluidized plugging material out through the flushing tool and into the casing and further out into the annulus; placing the fluidized plugging material along the longitudinal section so as to form a plug across a cross section of the well; wherein the outlets in the flushing tool are angled non-perpendicularly relative to a longitudinal axis of the flushing tool. The method also comprises removing a portion of the plug until a cross-sectional section of the plug remains in the annulus; disposing and anchoring a direction-guiding element in the casing within the longitudinal section; by means of the element, guiding a drilling tool against the inside of the casing; and forming an exit hole through the casing and the cross-sectional section of the plug, thereby allowing a new well path to be formed from the well.

Method for establishment of a new well path from an existing well

A method is for cutting of at least one line disposed along a pipe string in a well. The method includes (A), using a cutting tool for selective cutting activation and provided with at least one cut-forming means for cutting in a radial direction outward from the cutting tool; and (B) lowering the cutting tool to a longitudinal section where the cutting is to be carried out. In (A), a cutting tool is used for controlled cutting in a peripheral direction and distributed in an axial direction relative to the cutting tool. The method further includes (C), activating the cutting tool and cutting, in the radial direction through and past the wall of the pipe string, at least one peripherally extending hole collectively covering the entire circumference of the pipe string, and also distributing the hole in the axial direction.

Method for downhole cutting of at least one line disposed outside and along a pipe string in a well, and without simultaneously severing the pipe string

A method is for establishing an annulus barrier in a subterranean well. The method comprises providing a plug in the well and along a longitudinal section thereof, wherein the plug, at least in a portion of the longitudinal section, covers substantially the entire cross-section of the well in such a manner that the plug covers both the inside and the outside of a casing; removing a central through portion of the plug internally in the casing in such a manner that a through central opening is formed in the plug, and in such a manner that at least a cross-sectional section of the plug remains on the outside of the casing; disposing and anchoring a connection pipe in the well, and internally in the casing, in such a manner that the connection pipe extends at least along a length of the remaining cross-sectional section; and sealing, in a fluid-tight manner, an annulus between the casing and the connection pipe.

Method for establishment of an annulus barrier in a subterranean well

A method is for plugging a well wherein the well, at least along a longitudinal section to be plugged, is provided with one or more pipe bodies forming a radial boundary between the well and a surrounding formation. The method includes (D), lowering a flow-through string into the well and, by the flow-through string, supplying a fluidized plugging material along the longitudinal section in the well, and at least within the innermost of said one or more pipe bodies in the well. The method, before step (D), also comprises (A), lowering one or more explosive charges into the well and onto the longitudinal section to be plugged, and detonating one or more of said explosive charges so as to extend the diameter of one or more of said pipe bodies at one or more places along the longitudinal section to be plugged. Method and system for plugging a well and use of explosive charges in plugging wells

A method is for establishing a new well path from an existing well, wherein the existing well, at least in a portion where the new well path is to be established, is delineated radially by a casing. The method comprises disposing and anchoring a plug base in the well; providing a plug above the plug base in the well and along a longitudinal section thereof, wherein the plug, at least in a portion thereof, covers substantially the entire cross-section of the well; removing a portion of the plug in such a manner that at least a cross-sectional section of the plug remains on the outside of the casing; disposing and anchoring a direction-guiding element in the well, and at least partially within the longitudinal section; and with the direction-guiding element, guiding a drilling tool against the inside of the casing in the existing well path in order to form a hole through the casing, and through the remaining cross-sectional section of the plug within the longitudinal section, which opens up to formation of a new well path. The method also comprises conducting a perforation tool down into the casing and to the longitudinal section where the plug is to be set; forming holes in the casing and along the longitudinal section by means of the perforation tool; and pumping a fluidized plugging material down through the string and out into the casing, thus also into the annulus via the holes in the casing.

Method of providing mechanical stability around an entrance of a new well path to be formed from an existing well

A method is for removing casing from a well. The method includes setting a first sealing element into fluid-sealing engagement with the inside of the casing, lowering a flow-through string into the well, a cutting tool and a second, reversibly expandable sealing element being connected to the string, forming perforations into the casing by means of said cutting tool, expanding the second, expandable sealing element into fluid-sealing engagement with the inside of the casing, passing a pressurized fluid through the string and into the annulus via the perforations, so that the viscous and/or solid mass is displaced up the annulus, cutting the casing around its entire circumference; and pulling a length of the casing up from the well.

Method for removal of casings in an underground well

An apparatus and a method are for supplying a fluidized plugging material to a well. The apparatus includes: a carrier body defined by an indefinite side portion extending between a first end portion and a second end portion, the carrier body being arranged to be set in motion by a driving device; and at least one displacement member arranged on the carrier body, the displacement member being defined by the surface of the carrier body and a free end portion facing the inside of the casing, and the driving device being arranged to set the carrier body and the displacement member in motion in the bore of the casing, so that the fluidized plugging material is set in motion within the bore of the casing.

Apparatus and method for positioning of a fluidized plugging material in an oil well or gas well

A hydraulic cutting tool, a system, and a method are for hydraulic cutting through a pipe wall of a pipe body. For this purpose, the cutting tool is provided with at least one cutting section comprising at least one fluid discharge body. Each such fluid discharge body comprises at least two outwardly directed discharge openings having non-parallel discharge directions directed at a common intersection point located outside the fluid discharge body. The cutting is carried out by means of an abrasive fluid being supplied, via a flow-through pipe string, to the at least one fluid discharge body from a remote location. Thereby, abrasive cutting jets will discharge at high velocity from the fluid discharge body so as to meet and disperse in the intersection point, thus weakening the further cutting ability of the cutting jets.

Hydraulic cutting tool, system and method for controlled hydraulic cutting through a pipe wall in a well

Methods and washing tools are for combined cleaning of an annulus in a well across a longitudinal section of the well, and subsequent plugging of the longitudinal section. The method comprises: (A) conducting a perforation tool into a casing to the longitudinal section; (B) forming holes in the casing along the longitudinal section; (C) a washing tool conducted into the casing on a tubular work string, pumping a washing fluid through the tubular work string and out into the casing via the washing tool; (D) a directional device associated with the washing tool, conducting the washing fluid out into the annulus via a hole at a first location within the longitudinal section, after which the washing fluid will flow via the annulus and onward into the casing via a hole formed in at least one second location within the longitudinal section; (E) pumping a fluidized plugging material out into the casing at the longitudinal section; and (F) placing the plugging material in the casing and in the annulus along the longitudinal section so as to plug the casing and the annulus.

A protective sleeve can be inserted through tubing and latched in a manner that resists rotation. At the conclusion of the through tubing operation that involves rotational movement, the sleeve is withdrawn on the string that previously extended through it.
