A guiding assembly for a riser piping system () in an opening in the bottom () of a floating structure, said assembly permitting limited axial and angular displacement of the riser piping system () in said opening. The assembly comprises a prismatic anchor () surrounding a portion of the riser piping system () and being connected thereto, an outer prismatic guide tube () receiving the prismatic anchor (), the outer prismatic guide tube () having inner surfaces that are parallel to and equally spaced from outer surfaces on the prismatic anchor (), and rollers () arranged in at least two different levels and confined in spaces () formed between said inner and outer surfaces, the rollers () permitting relative axial movement between the prismatic anchor () and the outer prismatic tube ().

Guiding assembly for a piping system

An extruded beam element suitable for the construction of sandwich structures, comprises two parallel plates (), each having a first part () and a second part (), wherein the first parts of said plates () are connected by multiple webs, wherein at least two of said webs () are inclined with respect to the longitudinal plane (Y) perpendicular to the plates (), and wherein the first parts () and the webs () form a relatively rigid portion of the beam element and the second parts () form a relatively flexible portion of the beam element, as well as sandwich panels and tanks comprising said beam elements.

Extruded elements

A tank for storing fluid, especially hydrocarbons including low temperature liquefied natural gas. The tank comprises tank walls defining an interior tank space, wherein at least one beam is provided in the interior tank space having at least one beam end connected to the tank wall. The at least one recess is provided in the tank wall for receiving the beam end for anchoring to the tank wall.

Tank for fluid

A tank subjected to thermal expansion and contraction, comprising a support block in contact with the bottom of the tank, where the support block and the bottom of the tank are connected by a rib in either the bottom of the tank or the support block, where the rib is in a groove in either the bottom of the tank or the support block to prevent horizontal movement of the tank.

The present invention concerns a cruciform construction element for use inside a tank to connect panels, which element is forged or molded in one piece and comprises intersecting webs.

Cruciform panels

A support assembly mounted on the roof of a tank comprising a support block, a base plate between the support block and the tank, and guiding brackets or rails joined to a structure above the tank. The guiding brackets or rails comprise a face turned towards a cooperating face of the support block. The face of the bracket or rail and the cooperating face of the support block are inclined at an angle which depends on the width and height of the support block.

Supports for tanks

A prismatic tank has outer and inner walls and internal horizontal stays. The walls include a plurality of horizontal beam sections. Each beam section has two parallel flanges interconnected by a web and a pair of opposing end faces. The beam sections are stacked one on top of the other and joined together along adjoining longitudinal edges of respective flanges and at end faces of respective beam sections such that a joint is formed between a first end face of a first beam section and a second, abutting end face of a second, abutting beam section. The web of the first beam section is recessed at the first end face and the web of the second beam section is recessed at the second end face so as to leave a first opening in the joint.

Tank structure

A riser for conveying fluids from a subsea location to a surface vessel comprises an upper section which is located in a confining conduit, said upper section being allowed to deform elastically into a helical configuration against the inside of the confining conduit when subjected to axial compression. The riser further comprises a main section extending below the confining conduit to said subsea location. The riser also comprises a buoyancy arrangement which keeps the main section in tension. This arrangement allows the Christmas tree to be supported directly on the deck of the surface structure and allows the surface structure to support the weight of the tree as well as the tubing which is hung off from the tree.

Riser

Hybrid riser configuration comprising a plurality of steel riser pipes substantially inserted in aluminium guide conduits, with buoyancy means and tethering tension means, the guide conduits and riser pipes being rigidly connected to a base anchored to the ocean floor. The guide conduits serve as the tethering tension means and as radial constraint for the respective riser pipe therein to allow the riser pipe to buckle in elastic deformation (Euler) to form a spiral when expanding due to service pressure and temperature. A method for installing the riser configuration is also disclosed.
