A device, for non-destructive testing of a mechanical part made of a polycrystalline material, includes: an ultrasonic probe including a two-dimensional array of transducers capable of emitting and receiving signals at different excitation angles; and a processing module suitable for controlling the emission and the reception of the transducers, for processing the signals received by the transducers so as to express the signals received by the ultrasonic probe in two planar wave planes constructed from the emission and reception wave vectors of the probe, and for deducing therefrom information representative of the three-dimensional orientation of the fiber structure of the mechanical part.

Non-destructive testing of a mechanical part made of a polycrystalline material

An incident wave is emitted into a medium comprising diffusers that can reflect the wave. Signals representing a reflected wave reverberated by the medium from the incident wave are captured, said captured signals being the sum of a simple diffusion component and a multiple diffusion component. The captured signals are treated by separating the multiple diffusion component from the simple diffusion component.

Method and device for probing by wave propagation

The invention relates to a wave-propagation-based sounding method, in which: an incident wave is emitted through a medium including diffusers capable of reflecting the wave; and, subsequently, signals representing a reflected wave reverberated by the medium from the incident wave are captured, said captured signals being the sum of a single scattering component and a multiple scattering component. The captured signals are processed by separating the multiple scattering component from the single scattering component by filtering at least one frequency transfer matrix representing responses between transducers from the transducer assembly.

Sounding method and device using wave propagation

According to the invention, a wave, corresponding to a signal s(t) may be temporally inverted by application of a first transformation to lower the central frequency thereof to produce a first set of transformed signals Ki(t) then a second set of transformed signals K'i(t) is produced representing the temporal inversion signal s(&#x2212;t) and a third transformation is applied to said second set to generate the temporally-inverted signal s(&#x2212;t)
