A crosslinking control system, the use of the crosslinking control system, a laser system comprising the crosslinking control system, a crosslinking control method and a method for laser treatment are provided. The crosslinking control system comprises a photosensitizer providing unit, a light source configured to provide light having a wavelength suitable to activate the photosensitizer introduced into or applied onto the tissue for crosslinking, and a control computer.

Crosslinking control

An apparatus and a method for cutting or ablating corneal tissue of an eye provide for detection of electromagnetic radiation exiting the eye. A detector is provided and coupled to a computer controlling the cutting or ablating laser radiation so that a two- or three-dimensional image of radiation exiting the eye can be generated.

A nozzle unit for cross-linking of eye tissue is disclosed. The nozzle unit comprises a dosing device for providing a predefined dose of a photosensitizer, a pressure-generating device for generating a pressure in the dosing device, and an outlet nozzle for discharging the dose of the photosensitizer, in a puff-type manner and in the form of at least one stream or stream bundle, through an outlet opening of the outlet nozzle.

A medical device comprises a device adapted to perform a medical procedure; a biometric information sensing device adapted to sense biometric information of a user; a controller adapted to retrieve stored biometric registration information of a user from a storage device in communication with the controller, to determine an identity of the user by comparing the stored biometric registration information and the sensed biometric information, and to prevent performance of the medical procedure if the sensed biometric information does not correspond to the stored biometric registration information.
