A system controls a stop function or a door opening function of a vehicle. The system includes an actuating element which is designed to generate an actuation signal depending on an actuation by a vehicle occupant, and a control device which is designed to receive the actuation signal and, in response to receiving the actuation signal and depending on a travel velocity of the vehicle, to trigger either the stop function or the door opening function.

A vehicle electric supply system includes a semiconductor safety switch that interruptibly couples the vehicle battery to electric consuming devices that are supplied by an electric socket on board the vehicle. A polarity inversion of the onboard power supply voltage is detected (and a storage of the polarity inversion detection data is caused) if the actual voltage at the connection for the negative onboard power supply voltage is higher than the actual voltage at the connection for the positive power supply voltage, or if the respective actual voltages exceed preset reference values.

In an obstacle recognition system in a motor vehicle with an electronic control device and with sensors to detect the distance of an obstacle in a predetermined area, the control device, in a defined partial area of a part, possibly mounted on the vehicle, that could be detected by a sensor as an obstacle, in the event of an actual obstacle being recognized in this partial area, in a first step determines the distance of the obstacle. In a second step, the control device checks to see whether this distance is changing. The alarm that is usually triggered as a function of the distance of the obstacle is suppressed if the distance of the obstacle detected in the defined partial area does not change.

The circuit also includes a control device, coupled to and controlled by the controller, that switches the switching program off and the internal illumination permanently on in response to being controlled by the controller.
