A beverage maker includes a heating device for heating water, a cold water inflow, a first hot water outlet, at least one second hot water outlet, a cold water path connecting the cold water inflow to the heating device, a first hot water path connecting the heating device to the first hot water outlet, at least one second hot water path connecting the heating device to the at least one second hot water outlet, a conveying device for conveying water, a first flow meter that is arranged in the cold water path or in the first hot water path, and at least one second flow meter that is arranged in the at least one second hot water path. A method of determining hot water amounts dispensed by a beverage maker and/or hot water amounts used for beverage preparation is also disclosed.

A milk supply device for supplying milk from a milk supply container to a milk dispensing device is provided. The milk supply device comprises a milk transport line which can be connected to the milk supply container and with which milk which has been taken from the milk supply container can be delivered to the milk dispensing device. The milk supply device further comprises a three-way junction, which can be operated such that optionally milk can be transported from the milk supply container to the milk dispensing device, whilst the milk transport line is sealed off by it, at the same time, relative to the cleaning agent transport line, in a fluid-impermeable manner, or cleaning agent can be conducted from the cleaning agent transport line in the direction towards the milk dispensing device and/or in the direction towards a discharge of the milk supply device.

A filter capsule for secondary filtration of extracted coffee is provided, where the filter capsule comprises a housing and at least one filter element or consists thereof. The housing comprises a bottom, at least one side wall and at least one cover or consists thereof, the at least one filter element being disposed in an interior space of the housing. Coffee extracted on a brewing strainer can be subjected to a secondary filtration so that suspended particles and emulsified oils of a specific size are separated from the coffee by the filter element of the filter capsule and a new type of coffee is produced. The use of the filter capsule for secondary filtration of coffee is therefore proposed.

A milk-frothing device may be provided that comprises a mixing chamber which is constructed such that, when the milk flows through the mixing chamber, shear forces act on the milk and lead to mechanical lysis of the proteins contained in the milk and hence effect improved frothing-up of the milk. A drinks preparer may be provided that includes this milk-frothing device. A method may be provided for frothing-up of milk using this milk-frothing device.

A beverage machine (), in particular to a coffee machine, has a main flow path (), that leads through a heating device (), and a bypass flow path () that circumvents the heating device (). The bypass flow path () branches off from the main flow path () upstream of the heating device (). The main flow path () is connected to a water tank () at the input side and to a dispensing location () at the output side. A main flow pump () is arranged in the main flow path () between the water tank () and the heating device (). Thus a bypass pump () is arranged in the bypass flow path () to provide a cost-efficient and accurate admixing of cold water.

A grinder for a coffee machine includes a first grinding disc disposed in a housing. A drive moves the first grinding disc about a rotational axis. A second grinding disc is disposed in the housing. There is a threaded part in which the second grinding disc is attached. The threaded part is screwable into the housing. A drive wheel is disposed coaxially with respect to the threaded part and rotates the threaded part with respect to the housing. A grinding gap between the two grinding discs is thereby able to be set. A setting wheel co-operates with the drive wheel, the setting wheel being attached to the housing. A supply opening is disposed in the housing for supply of coffee beans to be ground. A path guide opening guides away the coffee ground between the two grinding discs. A holder is adjustably attached to the housing and is fixable in any position. The setting wheel which is attached to the holder can engage the drive wheel in any desired position with respect to the housing, whereby the grinder can be inserted into different types of coffee machines.

A device for supplying milk from a storage tank to a dispensing element, having a supply line with an inlet end which is detachably connected to the storage tank, to improve the cleaning of such a device. A cleaning device is provided for the supply line, the cleaning device containing a hot water and/or water vapor outlet having a connection device for the detachable connection of the inlet end of the supply line.

A device and a method are described, which are used for precipitating beverage sediment from the rinsing mixture of beverage production machines and which comprise a rinsing conduit, a sediment receptacle and a filtering means. In order to design a device of this type in a structurally simple manner such that it can be serviced more easily, it is suggested that the filtering means should comprise a first and a second filter which are arranged one after the other when seen in the direction of flow of the rinsing mixture and which are each provided with filtrate discharge means and that a flow connection for the rinsing mixture discharged from the rinsing conduit and for the filter cake precipitated on the first filter should be provided, said flow connection bypassing said first filter and leading into the sediment receptacle.
