A diaphragm non-return valve for a compressed air system is provided herein. The diaphragm non-return valve comprises a housing, a purge output formed on the housing, a valve seat formed on the purge output, and a diaphragm disc which is attached to the housing and which lies on the valve seat in the closed state of the non-return valve and is lifted off the valve seat in the open state of the non-return valve. The diaphragm disc is attached to the housing by a clamping bracket, and the clamping bracket has holding component via which the clamping bracket is attached to the outlet-side end of the purge output.

Diaphragm non-return valve for a compressed air system

Disclosed is a method for controlling brakes in a trailer vehicle comprising a pneumatic brake system, service brakes and an electronic brake system with anti-lock control, wherein at least one axle of the trailer vehicle is fitted with spring-loaded brakes and revolution rate sensors. The method comprises: monitoring with the electronic brake system whether there is a braking demand, monitoring with the electronic brake system whether at least one wheel of at least one axle is locking up, and if there is no braking demand and at least one wheel of the at least one axle is locked while traveling, controlling the pneumatic braking system with the electronic brake system to pressurize the spring-loaded brakes and to brake the trailer vehicle by the service brakes automatically and with anti-lock control. A valve arrangement is also disclosed.

Method for controlling brakes in a trailer vehicle

Disclosed is a valve arrangement for aerating spring accumulator brake cylinders in a trailer vehicle with a pneumatic braking system, the valve arrangement having a first connection for a line connected to a reservoir of the trailer vehicle, a second connection for a line leading to the spring accumulator brake cylinders, and a first pneumatic control input, wherein the first connection can be connected to the second connection depending on the pressure on the first pneumatic control input. The first control input is connected to a line connected to a control connection of the trailer vehicle or to a line connected to the reservoir. A valve unit, a pneumatic braking system, a method of operating the same, and a trailer vehicle including the same are also disclosed.

Pneumatic braking system for a trailer vehicle

A brake modulator () for a compressed air braking system () of a vehicle is disclosed. The brake modulator () has a main housing () and two relay valves (). Each relay valve is configured with a delivery valve seat () and a vent valve seat () and a vent position, wherein compressed air inlets () are connected via a transverse bore () to a common compressed air inlet port (), and a delivery duct () extends in the axial direction (A) in each relay valve (). Brake modulator for a compressed air braking system of a vehicle

A solenoid valve () comprises a coil core (), a yoke (), a valve chamber (), an inlet armature () upstream of an inlet () of the valve chamber (), an outlet armature () upstream of a first outlet () of the valve chamber (), and a second outlet () at the valve chamber (), wherein the inlet armature () and outlet armature () can move and the inlet () and first outlet () lie opposite one another. A relay valve () includes a housing having a pressure medium inlet that can be connected to a pressure medium source, at least one pressure medium outlet that can be connected to a consumer, at least one control input, and at least one ventilation () leading to the atmosphere. The relay valve () has further a relay valve piston (), which is arranged in the housing along a relay valve piston axis () in a slidable manner. The relay valve () has a first sealing element () fixed to the housing, and a second sealing element () fixed to the relay valve piston for sealing the relay valve piston () with respect to the housing. An annular space () having a connection to the atmosphere is defined by the first sealing element (), the second sealing element (), the relay valve piston (), and the housing.

Relay valve, valve device, and vehicle associated therewith

A relay valve () for a compressed air system, has a housing, which has a pressure medium inlet that can be connected to a pressure medium source, at least one pressure medium outlet that can be connected to a consuming unit, at least one control inlet, and at least one vent () leading to atmosphere. The relay valve () furthermore has a relay valve piston (), which is arranged in the housing in such a way that the relay valve piston can be moved along a relay valve piston axis () and divides a control chamber () and a working chamber () from each other in the housing. The relay valve () has a damping volume (), which is pneumatically connected to the control chamber (), thereby advantageously enabling the oscillation capacity of the relay valve piston () to be reduced.

A two-stage solenoid valve for an electropneumatic valve control unit, e.g., a pilot control unit of a pressure modulator, includes a solenoid system to which a first and second current intensity can be applied as well as a solenoid valve device with a primary side connectable to a first compressed-air supply and a secondary side connectable to a second compressed-air supply. A primary valve encompassing an adjustable primary armature biased by a primary armature spring is provided on the primary side, and a secondary valve encompassing an adjustable secondary armature biased by a secondary armature spring is provided on the secondary side. The solenoid valve device can be a valve cartridge insertable from one side. Diameters of a front (in relation to insertion direction) region and a central region of the valve cartridge are smaller than or equal to the diameter of a rear region of the valve cartridge.

Two-stage solenoid valve for an electropneumatic valve control unit

A valve control unit including three valve units for two brake channels of an electropneumatic brake system is provided. Each valve unit is embodied as a valve modulator device for a braking pressure control circuit including an air inlet valve with a primary solenoid and a bleed valve with a secondary solenoid. Each modulator device armature includes a common solenoid guide arrangement controlled by the magnetic flux of a common magnetic coil. Independent operation of the armatures is achieved whereby flux through the secondary solenoid is weakened by a shunt in the flux circuit which causes a switching delay for the secondary solenoid relative to the primary solenoid. The magnetic resistance of a non-magnetic disc effects switch-off acceleration in the flux circuit with energized secondary solenoid, weakens the field and causes the secondary solenoid to revert to a spring-loaded base state at a higher flux than the primary solenoid.

Brake-pressure modulator pilot unit

A method for manufacturing magnet armatures which are used mainly in brake-pressure modulators of electronically controlled brake systems and which are provided on their entire surface with a plastic coating, for reasons of dimensional stability and sliding properties. Magnet armatures of this type are constructed as cylindrical members and are usually provided in the region of one of the two end faces with an elastomeric sealing element, which according to the prior art is bonded to the magnet armature by vulcanization, an adhesive elastomer-to-metal bond being formed between the magnet armature and the elastomeric sealing element during vulcanization. Since bonds of this type are not possible for a completely coated magnet armature, the elastomer for the elastomeric sealing element is, according to the invention, vulcanized onto the armature without using an adhesion promoter. The resulting absence of nonpositive bonding between the elastomeric sealing element and the magnet armature is replaced by the structural feature of an interlocking relationship between the magnet armature and the elastomer. The interlocking relationship is achieved by an undercut in the magnet armature.

Method for manufacturing a magnet armature

A pre-engagement unit for a braking pressure modulator for a pressure regulating circuit includes a first pneumatic inlet, a second pneumatic inlet, a first pneumatic output terminal, and a second pneumatic output terminal. The unit includes an electrically actuated valve system having a plurality of solenoid valves and a plurality of electrical terminals connected to output terminals of an electronic control unit. An electric braking command signal transmitter delivers a driver initiated electric brake value setting to an input of the electronic control unit. Under normal conditions, a supply pressure and a redundancy pressure are delivered at the first pneumatic output terminal to be converted by an air quantity augmenting relay valve to a braking pressure. In case of failure of the electronic braking system, the redundancy pressure is delivered at the first pneumatic output terminal to be converted by the air quantity augmenting relay valve to the braking pressure.

Braking pressure modulator for an electronic braking system

A pre-engagement unit for a braking pressure modulator for a pressure regulating circuit of an electronic braking system includes an electrically actuated valve system with three substantially identical 2/2-way solenoid valves. First and second terminals of the 2/2-way solenoid valves are selectively connected to the pneumatic inlets and output terminals of the pre-engagement unit, and to each other so that the first 2/2-way valve serves as an air admission valve for supply pressure, the second 2/2-way solenoid valve serves as an air admission/exhaust valve for redundancy pressure, and the third 2/2-way solenoid valve serves as an exhaust valve. Thereby, the pressure in the pressure regulating circuit can be increased, decreased, or maintained. Desirably, the first, second, and third 2/2-way solenoid valves are connected in parallel to each other.

Braking pressure modulator for a trailer with electronic braking system

A valve system for the pre-engagement unit of a vehicle braking pressure modulator contains solenoid valves, which are controlled by an electronic braking system. Pneumatic pressure is fed into a brake cylinder on the vehicle wheels via a pressure regulating channel of the pre-engagement unit. The solenoid valves are configured as cartridge solenoid valves, so that assembly is simplified, and utilization of elastic tolerance compensating elements is unnecessary. A preferred embodiment includes three cylinder bodies connected end-to-end with no increase in cylinder diameter. This embodiment enables the use of identical armatures and identical magnet coils for different valve types, such as 3/2-way solenoid valves or 2/2-way solenoid valves. Also, these valves may be configured as normally open or normally closed, with identical outside dimensions. As such, three cartridge solenoid valves can be combined into a compact triple valve cartridge unit that further simplifies the assembly process.
