An integrated circuit, a circuit assembly and a method for operation the integrated circuit are disclosed. In embodiments an integrated circuit includes at least one supply voltage terminal configured to receive a supply voltage for operation of the integrated circuit, at least one input terminal configured to receive an analog input signal corresponding to an audio signal, at least one output terminal configured to provide an analog output signal, a signal strength detector configured to detect a signal strength of the analog input signal provided at the at least one input terminal and a signaling circuit configured to indicate an amplification setting of the integrated circuit at the at least one output terminal, wherein the integrated circuit is configured to amplify the audio signal based on the detected signal strength and to output a corresponding amplified signal at the at least one output terminal.

Integrated circuit, circuit assembly and a method for its operation

An integrated circuit, a circuit assembly and a method for operation the integrated circuit are disclosed. In embodiments the integrated circuit includes at least one supply voltage terminal configured to receive a supply voltage for operation the integrated circuit, at least one input terminal configured to receive an analog input signal corresponding to an audio signal, at least one output terminal configured to provide an analog output signal and a signal strength detector configured to detect a signal strength of the analog input signal provided at the at least one input terminal, wherein the integrated circuit is configured to amplify an audio signal based on the detected signal strength and to output a corresponding amplified signal at the at least one output terminal, wherein the integrated circuit comprises a signaling circuit configured to indicate an amplification setting of the integrated circuit at the at least one supply voltage terminal.

A top-port MEMS-microphone has an upper side and a bottom side. The microphone includes a MEMS chip with a monolithically connected protection element at the upper side, a backplate, and a membrane. The microphone also includes a sound inlet at the upper side and a mechanical or electrical connection at the bottom side.

Top-port MEMS microphone and method of manufacturing the same

An assembly includes an analog signal processing unit. An analog signal path and an amplifier an automatic gain control unit are coupled to the signal path. Further to the output of the amplified analog signal, a gain information is provided as an analog or digital signal at a gain information output. This information can be used for further processing the signal, e.g., by automatic noise compression or to control further signal processing units.

Assembly with an analog data processing unit and method of using same

A MEMS microphone assembly includes a MEMS transducer element having a back plate and a diaphragm displaceable relative to the back plate. A bias voltage generator is adapted to provide a DC bias voltage applicable between the diaphragm and the back plate. An amplifier receives an electrical signal from the MEMS transducer element and provides an output signal. The amplifier is adapted to amplify the electrical signal from the MEMS transducer element according to an amplifier gain setting. A processor is adapted to carry out a calibration routine at power-on of the microphone assembly determining information regarding the DC bias voltage and/or the amplifier gain setting.

MEMS microphone assembly and method of operating the MEMS microphone assembly

A microphone arrangement has an SMD housing with a sound inlet opening. A transducer receives sound waves through the sound inlet opening and converts the received sound waves into electrical signals. An analog-to-digital converter provides digital signals. An interface control unit with a digital interface is used by the chip to transmit data serially to an external device. At least one further interface is connected to a peripheral device such that the at least one further interface can be used to transmit data between the peripheral devices and the interface control unit. The transducer, the analog-to-digital converter, the interface control unit and the at least one further interface are integrated in the SMD housing.

Microphone arrangement

A resonator filter working with surface acoustic waves is disclosed. The transfer function of this filter features a phase rotation of at least 400&#xb0; within a passband.
