A non-crosslinked composition suitable for coating onto an ink-jet recording sheet comprising. a) at least one nonionic fluorocarbon surfactant, b) at least one alkanolamine metal chelate wherein said metal is selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium and aluminum, and c) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of hydroxycellulose and substituted hydroxycellulose polymers, such composition being crosslinkable when subjected to temperatures of at least about 90.degree. C.

Ink-jet recording sheet

An ink-receptive sheet comprising a substrate bearing on at least one major surface an ink-receptive coating comprising at least two layers, a thin upper layer and a thick base layer, wherein said upper layer comprises a high viscosity binder selected from the group consisting of methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and blends thereof.

Ink-receptive sheet

Transparent sheet for use with ink jet printers and pen plotters which utilize hydrophilic solvent-based inks. The sheet comprises a transparent backing bearing on at least one major surface thereof a transparent coating formed of a blend of at least one hydrophilic polymer containing a carbonylamido functional group and at least one hydrophobic polymer substantially free of acidic functional groups, hydroxyl groups, &gt;NH groups and --NH.sub.2 groups.

Ink receptive transparency sheet

A hydrophilic, polymeric blend which provides improved durability and reduced curl when used as an image-receptive layer on graphic arts films. The blend comprises at least one water-absorbing, hydrophilic polymeric material, at least one hydrophobic polymeric material having acid functionality, and at least one polyethylene glycol. The layer formed from the blend provides high sorption capacity combined with good physical integrity even when wet, along with dimensional stability. The invention also provides sheets suitable for preparing visual transparencies having a backing bearing on at least one major surface thereof an image-receptive layer formed from the aforementioned blend.
