The invention relates to a method for controlling a blocking member () of a functional component (), particularly of a steering column () of a motor vehicle, particularly of a motorcycle, having a drive () by which the blocking member () can be moved into a locking position () and into an unlocking position () and vice versa, wherein the blocking member () engages mechanically with the functional component () when in the locking position (), releases from the functional component () when in the unlocking position (), and the locking process is started via a defined triggering action on the part of the operator, the blocking member () being moved from the unlocking position () into the locking position () during said locking process. According to the invention, a controller () monitors the process, enabling a malfunction of the component (), in which a locking position () of the blocking member () is impossible, to be detected, such that the blocking member () takes up the original unlocking position () despite the triggering action.

Method and device for controlling a blocking member

The invention relates to a cylinder core () which can be mounted in a rotatable manner in a locking device, in particular of a storage compartment or of a glove compartment of a motor vehicle, and has a head region (), which has a key channel () into which a key can be introduced, and a retaining region (), which adjoins the head region () and is formed with a control means () which, when the cylinder core () is rotated about its axis of rotation (), moves an arresting means, which is arranged in the locking device, for a closing and/or opening operation. The invention provides for the cylinder core () to have at least two material bodies (), wherein a first material body () is configured with the head region (), which contains a first plastic, and a second material body () is designed with the control means (), which contains a second plastic, the second plastic having a higher strength than the first plastic.

Cylinder core

A lock having a locking rod that is displaced in a longitudinal direction. The rod is driven by an actuator via a rotor. The internal section of the locking rod is flexible so as to have the properties of a flexural section. The locking rod, together with the flexural section and the rotor are configured in one piece from plastic so as to permit transfer between the rotor and the locking rod that is devoid of play.

Lock comprising two locking rods, in particular for vehicles

A lock, especially for motor vehicles, for securing a movable part, such as a pivoting flap, in position with respect to a stationary part, such as a housing, includes two rotary latches at a certain distance apart, wherein two closing pieces engage in the rotary latches when the latches are in the closed position. The locking elements are connected to a shaft and are rotatable synchronously with the shaft. At least certain sections of the shaft have torsional rigidity in the rotational direction, but flexibility in the axial direction.

Lock with rotary latches, especially for motor vehicles

The invention relates to an actuating device for a lock, especially a lock on the parcel shelf of a motor vehicle, comprising an actuating element () and a transmission element () which can be moved in a linear manner () and on which a catch device () is disposed, whereby the movement thereof impinges upon a trigger element () which interacts with an actuating rod assembly. The transmission element () is embodied as an axially displaceable shaft () which can be rotated by means of a central locking device () and is provided with an eccentrically arranged extension (). One area of the actuating element () can be rotated by means of a locking cylinder () and is provided with an eccentrically arranged extension (). The front faces () of the extensions () face each other and overlap in at least one rotational position but not in all relative rotational positions of the extensions (). No overlapping of the front faces () occurs, however, in at least one rotational position of one of the extensions (), irrespective of the adjustable rotational position of the other extension. Preferably, a locking plate () is arranged between the actuating element and the transmission element. Said locking plate has a recess () whose shape enables engagement of the extension () of the actuating element () in at least one but not all of the rotational positions provided.

Actuating device for a lock, especially in a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a lock that can be used with a flap, comprising a rotary unit that is made up of a rotary spagnolet that interacts with a closing element ( ) and a rotating latch ( ). In order to improve operational performance, the rotary unit is provided with a rigid catch ( ) that preferably has two counter shoulders running in opposite directions. The output member ( ) of a motor ( )&mdash;driven gear mechanism is also provided with two corresponding counter shoulders. This enables the motor to provide assistance with closing and, optionally, opening, whereby the rotary unit can be guided in a closing, tilting direction or an opening, tilting direction until the flap is fully closed or opened. The motor ( ) comprises a gear mechanism with a group of gears that can be displaced between an engaged position and a separated position. The detent pawl ( ) which interacts with the rotating latch ( ) is disabled in the separated position, should an emergency arise. When the flap is in a closed or open position, a free area exists between the shoulders and counter shoulders, enabling the flap to be moved manually.

Motorized lock for flaps or doors in motor vehicles, especially a lock for glove compartments

A locking device with a key-actuated cylinder core has a cylinder guide rotationally supporting the cylinder core and stopping points for tumblers. One area of the cylinder guide is received axially fixed but rotatably in a housing, while the other area is surrounded by a sliding member non-rotatably but axially slidably supported on the cylinder guide. A turning member surrounds the sliding member and is rotatable relative to and synchronously axially movable with the sliding member. A spring acts axially on the turning member. An overload protection device has a control element arranged on the housing and a counter control element, arranged on the sliding member and spring-loaded against the control element, for axially moving the sliding and turning members in an overload situation to release an axial coupling having one coupling member fixedly connected to the cylinder core and another coupling member arranged on the turning member.
