An apparatus comprising a baby bottle () and a bottle top attachment () coupled to the baby bottle () and having a connector () for a breast pump. The apparatus is characterized in that the bottle top attachment () includes a measuring head () with a reservoir () for breast milk and in that the measuring head () includes a sensor unit that is associated with the volume of the reservoir () and that enables determining a parameter of the milk expressed into the baby bottle.

A breast shield unit of a breast pump for expressing human breastmilk includes a breast shield () to be placed onto a mother's breast, a breastmilk collection container () for receiving expressed breastmilk, an adapter () for connecting the breast shield () to the breastmilk collection container () and a valve head (). A breastmilk channel extends from the breast shield () into the breastmilk collection container () through the adapter () and the valve head (). The valve head () includes a valve () which closes and opens the breastmilk channel during the pumping action, wherein a fill level sensor () for measuring a fill level of the breastmilk collection container () is arranged in the valve head (). The breast shield unit according to the invention facilitates a fill level measurement without a structural change of the breast shield and breastmilk collection container. Moreover, it facilitates data interchange with external information storage and/or information processing units.

Breast shield unit

A breastpump for expressing human breastmilk includes a multipart hygiene module having a first part with a flow opening for connecting to a interior, a valve body with at least one valve and a second part with a rigid cup for forming a pump chamber. The valve body is arranged between the first and second part and the hygiene module as a whole is connectable to the housing of the breastpump in a sealing and detachable manner.

The present invention relates to an apparatus () comprising a connector (), a baby bottle () which can be coupled thereto having a bottle body () and a bottle base (), and a sensor unit () arranged in the bottle base () for determining the filling quantity of milk in the baby bottle (). An object of the present invention is to improve handling and maintenance of the apparatus, as well as determining the content quantity. It is characterized in that the bottle base () is releasably attachable to the bottle body ().

A breast shield unit of a breast pump for expressing human breastmilk comprises a breast shield to be placed onto a mother's breast, a breastmilk collection container for receiving expressed breastmilk, an adapter for connecting the breast shield to the breastmilk collection container and a valve head. A breastmilk channel extends from the breast shield into the breastmilk collection container through the adapter and the valve head. The valve head includes a valve which closes and opens the breastmilk channel during the pumping action, wherein a fill level sensor for measuring a fill level of the breastmilk collection container is arranged in the valve head. The breast shield unit according to the invention facilitates a fill level measurement without a structural change of the breast shield and breastmilk collection container. Moreover, it facilitates data interchange with external information storage and/or information processing units.

A medical suction pump has a pump housing, a pump assembly arranged in the pump housing and serving to generate an underpressure, and a device for sound damping. The device for sound damping has at least two elastic bearings for elastically supporting the pump assembly relative to the pump housing, wherein the bearings are arranged spaced apart from each other. By virtue of the flexible support, the suction pump permits optimal sound damping.

A device for bringing baby food to a certain temperature comprises a vessel having an interior for accommodating a holder for the baby food, a unit for obtaining a temperature for bringing the interior to a certain temperature, and a first sensor for determining the temperature in interior. A second sensor is present for determining the temperature of the baby food in the container. As a result, baby food can be brought to a certain temperature in a manner that is gentle, yet efficient.

A device for expressing human breast milk has a breast shield for bearing against a mother's breast, a vacuum pump for generating a vacuum, a line which connects the vacuum pump to the breast shield and is intended for transmitting the vacuum generated to the breast shield, and a chamber. The line ends on the pump side in a first port of the chamber. The chamber has a second port for connection to a milk collecting container. The two ports in the chamber are connected to each other in terms of fluid communication. During the expressing operation, the line forms a milk line for transporting breast milk expressed in the breast shield to the chamber and from the chamber to the milk collecting container. The pump can be designed to be quiet and small.

Device and method for expressing human breast milk

A breastpump unit for expressing human breastmilk has a breastshield for placing on a human mother's breast, a vacuum pump for generating an underpressure, and a suction line for connecting the breastshield to the vacuum pump and for transferring to the breastshield the underpressure generated by the vacuum pump. The breastpump unit also has a pressure sensor. In addition, a measuring line is present, wherein the measuring line extends from the breastshield to the pressure sensor.

A breastshield unit for use in a device for expressing human breastmilk employing underpressure with a breastshield body and a media separation device which separates expressed milk from an underpressure source arranged in the breastshield body, the media separation device having a through-channel which connects first and second openings of the breastshield body. The through-channel has a through-opening, which is enlargeable when subjected to an underpressure from outside. The through-opening is formed by walls which, when subjected to an underpressure from outside, are movable away from each other, largely without stretching, in order to enlarge the through-opening. The breastshield unit permits media separation with minimal dead volume, and with optimized comfort for the mother.

A device having a flow channel for a fluid has a nonreturn valve arranged in the flow channel, the nonreturn valve allowing the fluid to flow through the flow channel in a first direction and preventing it from flowing through the flow channel in a direction counter to the first direction. The device furthermore has a flow detector for detecting the flow of the fluid through the flow channel, wherein the flow detector detects a change in the nonreturn valve. This detected change serves as an indicator for the flow of the fluid. The device enables simplified flow detection, in that a nonreturn valve that is present is used as an indicator.

A vacuum pump for generating an underpressure has a pump chamber () with an inlet () and an outlet (), wherein the outlet () is equipped with a valve (). According to the invention, the pump chamber () is provided with a pressure sensor (). This vacuum pump has a relatively precise and inexpensive vacuum sensor. It is also advantageous that the sensor, being integrated in the pump chamber, is not susceptible to failure and takes up a small amount of space.

Vacuum pump

A suction pump unit comprises a vacuum port, an excess pressure port and a switching valve. The switching valve comprises a valve body with two inputs, wherein a first of the inputs is connected with the vacuum port, and a second of the inputs is connected with the excess pressure port. The switching valve further comprises an output with a through hole, wherein the output can be moved relative to the inputs from the first input to the second input and back, as a result of which the through hole alternately establishes a fluid-communicating connection with one of the inputs. The through hole of the output is released and ventilated during at least part of the movement between the two inputs. This suction pump unit permits passive and active ventilation of an output line connected with the output.

Suction pump unit

A diaphragm vacuum pump has an electrically operated drive unit and a vacuum diaphragm, which separates a pump chamber into a drive-side part and a drive-remote part and which can be deflected by means of a movable part of the drive unit. The drive unit is an electromagnetic drive unit and the vacuum diaphragm is deflected in the direction of a linear movement generated electromagnetically in the drive unit. Preferably, a ventilation valve is also actuated the movable part. The vacuum pump is relatively small and compact and operates quietly. The vacuum pump is suitable in particular for 'hands-free' applications of breastpumps.
