A steam turbine has a high-pressure turbine section and a medium-pressure turbine section fluidically connected to the high-pressure turbine section. The high-pressure turbine section is a chamber configuration and the medium-pressure turbine section is a drum configuration. Alternatively, the high-pressure turbine section is a drum configuration and the medium-pressure turbine section is a chamber configuration. Alternatively, or additionally, the high-pressure turbine section is a double-flow configuration and the medium-pressure turbine section is a double-flow configuration.

Steam turbine

A turbine shaft includes an inflow region for fluid, in particular steam, and at least two recesses spaced apart axially from one another and from the inflow region, for receiving at least one turbine blade in each case. A cavity in the turbine shaft is associated with the inflow region and is connected to a feed line and a discharge line for fluid for cooling the turbine shaft. A steam turbine and a method for cooling an inflow region of a turbine shaft disposed in a steam turbine, are also described.

In order to obtain a particularly compact steam power plant (1) with a plurality of pressure stages (4a, 4b) mounted on a common turbine shaft (6), a condenser (10) is mounted at the outflow side in the axial direction of the turbine shaft (6) and a feed-water preheater (14) has a modular design. The feed-water preheater (14) has a plurality of heat exchanger modules (20, 22) which are arranged in a common housing (24) and may be heated by steam (A.sub.N, A.sub.H) tapped from one or all pressure stages (4a, 4b). The heat exchanger modules (20, 22) are mounted in series at the feed-water side and in parallel at the tapped steam side.

Steam-turbine plant

A method and an apparatus are provided for the operational monitoring of a condenser including a steam chamber through which steam to be condensed flows and at least one configuration having a plurality of tubes in the steam chamber through which a coolant fluid passes from an inlet to an outlet end. The steam pressure and/or temperature is measured at least at one measuring point in the steam chamber. In addition, the inlet temperature of the coolant fluid at the inlet end, the outlet temperature of the coolant fluid at the outlet end and the coolant fluid mass throughput are measured at each selected tube. The measurements are evaluated to determine the heat transfer coefficient of each selected tube and the coefficients thus determined are assessed for diagnostic purposes. In particular, a signal is given when at least one heat transfer coefficient differs substantially from a predetermined setting.

Method and apparatus for operational monitoring of a condenser with

A condenser for the water-steam loop of a power plant includes a condensate-filled lower portion. A heating pipe system is disposed in the lower portion and nozzles are disposed on the heating pipe system through which heating condensate or heating steam is forced into the condensate for heating the condensate and thereby expelling dissolved gases from the condensate. A heating valve is connected to the heating pipe system and a proportional regulator is connected to the heating valve for adjusting heating output of the heating pipe system through the quantity of hot condensate or hot steam. A measurement variable converter connected to the proportional regulator acts upon the proportional regulator at least as a function of oxygen content of the condensate and as a function of subcooling of the condensate, the subcooling being equal to the difference between the temperature of the condensate and the temperature of condensation of steam to be condensed. A vacuum pump communicates with the lower portion for removing expelled gases by suction. The measurement variable converter feeds a measurement result to the proportional regulator causing opening of the heating valve only as long as the vacuum pump is in operation.
