Modular display stand

A display stand assembly in which the main shelves have side rims provided with rectangular collars at opposite ends thereof. Vertical side members comprising top and bottom cross beams having channel-shaped top receivers and channel-shaped bottom inserts cooperate with the main shelves. The top receivers fit frictionally and snugly into the collars of a shelf rim thereabove and bottom inserts fit snugly into the receivers of a side member therebelow, whereby a pair of side members cooperate with the collar of the shelf to provide three-wall support for the shelf therebetween. The bottom cross beams cooperate with longitudinal recesses in the shelf rim to further stabilize the assembly. Extension end shelves are provided which are frictionally attachable to the main shelf side rims for increased merchandise support area. There are floor support feet which have a similar channel-shaped receiver insertable into a collar of the bottommost shelf of the assembly.

An improved, knock-down, multiple-level, article storage and display rack may be assembled using article storage and shipping containers and dowel rod spacers. The containers, which preferably are molded plastic trays, each have a rectangular base and three retaining walls, one of which is a front wall. A display panel is angled forward from the container's front wall so that the bottom of the display panel and the bottom of the front wall cooperate to provide front, horizontal, support. A simple stand constructed to provide a pair of upright columns that fit into bottom-opening recesses in the two side walls, cooperate to provide a rear suppport for the display. Column-like dowels that fit into upper and lower recesses in the retaining walls of respective lower and upper trays are used to assemble the vertically disposed display rack.

A new storage and dispenser rack is provided for quasi-cylindrical containers such as bottles, wherein the ends of the containers are of different dimension but with a belly portion of the container being substantially of the same size and shape as the large end of the container. The rack is made of molded plastic parts that are constructed and designed to snap together. The rack includes a pair of upright panels that define a bay and provide thereon tiers of tracks, each for supporting one end of the quasi-cylindrical containers. A plurality of transverse spacer shafts that connect with the pair of panels operate to provide a free-standing structural grid for the rack. The spacer shafts are of an axial length selected for the size of the containers to be supported on the rack. An add-on track member is provided for support of quasi-cylindrical containers, with means provided on the underside of the track member arranged for snap-on connection with male snap-on members provided in female sockets provided on, and located intermediate the ends of, the transverse spacer shafts.

Storage and dispenser rack

A miniature bank having the form of an armored safety-deposit truck whose coin-compartment is closed by a back gate. The latter extends forwardly under the compartment with a tongue which crosses over the rear axle of the truck. The axle therefore bars the tongue, and keeps the back gate from being opened. The wheels are made flexible, so that either can be pulled off the axle and permit it to be retracted to a point no longer blocking the tongue. The back gate may now be raised open. This procedure is kept secret from a juvenile owner of the bank; and the normal appearance of the wheel mechanism disguises its alternate manipulation.
