The melting induction furnace comprises, together with a casing () to which a lower sole plate () is added to form the central part of the structure, a removable inner crucible () composed of an internal layer () resisting heat and aggressiveness of the molten bath (), an external layer () delimiting the crucible and an insulating intermediate layer (). The crucible () is a disposable crucible and can be stored with its charge in an appropriate container. Heat losses are low, even when the casing () is cooled. Stresses due to differential thermal expansions are also very much reduced.

Induction furnace and method for treating metal waste to be stored

Process for combustion and vitrification of waste in which at least one oxygen plasma jet is associated with a continuous melting device by high frequency direct induction. The crucible is composed of a continuous external shell and a sole plate, both cooled by a liquid circulating in internal channels. The inductor is placed below the sole plate. There is a gravity drain valve at the bottom or on the side.

Vitrification furnace with dual heating means
