Methods of preparing catalyst materials are provided. The catalyst material comprise electrocatalyst particles, a support material, and graphitic carbon nitride. The methods comprise applying graphitic carbon nitride to a catalyst material precursor.

The present application relates to a method comprising: (a) providing a battery comprising a manganese oxide composition as a primary active material; and (b) cycling the battery by: (i) galvanostatically discharging the battery to a first V; (ii) galvanostatically charging the battery to a second V; and (iii) potentiostatically charging at the second Vfor a first defined period of time. The present application also relates to a chemical composition produced by the method above. The present application also relates to a battery comprising one or more chemical species, the one or more chemical species produced by cycling an activated composition.

Manganese oxide composition and method for preparing manganese oxide composition

A method of exposing a sample to an electrical effect for electrochemical analysis of the sample in an electrolyte solution is disclosed. The method comprises causing an external electrical conductor of an electrode head to apply the electrical effect, the external electrical conductor of the electrode head being external to the electrode head and on an external side of the sample exposed to the electrolyte solution. Apparatuses are also disclosed.

Methods and apparatuses for electrochemical analysis of a sample

A method and system for reducing ion concentration of a solution and converting gas. The system comprising a multi-chamber unitary dialysis cell comprising a gas chamber, a product chamber, and an acid chamber. Ion exchange barriers separate the chambers of the dialysis cell. A first anion exchange barrier is positioned between the product chamber and the acid chamber and a first cation exchange barrier is positioned between the product chamber and the gas chamber. Anions from the solution being treated associate with cations from the acid chamber to form an acid solution in the acid chamber, and cations from the solution being treated associate with anions from the fluid comprising gas to form salt, thereby reducing the ion concentration of the solution being treated and converting at least a portion of the gas into salt.
